Yinz think I can get Reebok to make an Elmer Soderblom player shirt?

oh no, I learned this game is a thing today
There's no shame in losing to the Tampa Bay Lightning
I keep trying to remember if one of these Florida games is a make-up game or something, they never schedule games like this
I mean, imagine being the team that keeps losing to all these losers
The last ~30 hours have gone impossibly well for the Penguins. They can tread water and reach the postseason from here I think.
I will only root against Jordan Staal if his success directly opposes the Penguins.
And that's just been the case this season, sadly
Martinook illustrated the most perfect goalie screen in history.
But also yeah f it, why not challenge? Who knows what'll happen?
There wasn't. Desperation challenge.
It's been a while since I've watched a Hurricanes game and actually rooted for them
He's lost as heck but that's a nice find
I love watching Jordan Staal being a huge net-front power forward in his late 30s
This was a fine couple of games for the Penguins to catch fire. Enormous 4 regulation points
Buffalo also just went up 3-2 on the Islanders with three minutes left
As great as the Penguins have looked for most of this game, possibly the craziest thing is how calm and smooth Ben Kindel looks with the puck.
Hold on, James van Riemsdyk is still in the NHL?! And I just now noticed he's playing in this game?!
It sure feels easy to forget that Stuart Skinner has won six playoff series in the past two years.
You know it's big when Grover doesn't even need to drop a huge historical stat about it
He almost looks like he's trying to play the opposite side of the ice for the first time in his life or something. Every action just takes that extra fraction of a second to process.
Meanwhile Anders Lee might have actually killed Sam Carrick in a hockey fight
They'll still need to find a way to inject some real superstar talent (especially at center) but I agree, Kyle Dubas has convinced me he's the man for the job to do that.
I never thought about it but wow that gif looks like Dan Potash's dad
Yeah that's a good point. I feel like the foundation is a lot more stable now than it had been the last few years, even if I'm not convinced they'll win a playoff round. But they might! I'm excited to see how long they can keep rolling.
The way they're playing right now, I agree. But they could cool off in a seven game series. Goaltending could fall apart at a moment's notice.
But that's okay. They're gonna get there, and that's a big improvement.
He can feel the weather warming up. He's not gonna let this team miss the playoffs again.
Parker Wotherspoon! There are so many guys I thought were just here to fill out a roster while the team tanked. All of them (with the possible exception of Matt Dumba) have totally exceeded expectations.
Soderblom is like the complete opposite of Ville Koivunen. Even if he's not scoring, his size makes him a factor. He knows how to position himself.
This is gonna sound condescending but I promise I don't mean it to be: anyone who watched him. Dude plays every shift like his hair is on fire and he just makes a positive difference every shift. The Pens do miss him right now.
Elmer Soderblom has really found a groove here. He seems really good at using his substantial reach to protect and cycle pucks. Even if he's not a crazy scoring threat, he's been useful.
