Mia came to Baltimore County Animal Services as a stray, she is about 2 years old and a bit underweight. It was suspected that she was pregnant and over the weekend she gave birth in the shelter to three healthy little kittens. Upon further investigation, we discovered that Mia was actually apart of a cat colony. Mia is stoic and easy to handle but may offer a little growl when her kennel is first approached, although she makes biscuits while growling. We are sure she is just confused and scared at the shelter with her new born kittens. The shelter is no place for a mama to raise her newborns so we are hoping to place them with a rescue organization as soon as possible!
