Of course there’s a big snowstorm coming when I had planned to take the dog to work with me so she could go to the groomer.

My fave was your story of the alien abductee.
He saw her throw the kerchief because she threw it to him. And 20 years later she is old and perhaps a little demented.
My interpretation is this: The old sailor is her son, made old by the sea. He asks her if she would forgive her child for not keeping in touch, and of course she does and he reveals himself to be the child.
Eldest child took the dog to his bed. She just jumped down &’trotted back in. She grumped as I picked her up, like she was mad at his audacity, & hates being picked up so be quick about it bc she’s tired and cold. Then she jumped over me and snuffled under the sheets. Now she’s sharing my pillow.
Oh, I don’t know if I saw it yet! He is in desperate need of a haircut right now. It’s been since June!
Amazing. I love it.
In other news, I misplaced a dish of the dog’s food this morning. I’ve no idea where I put it down. She’s not the type to eat two meals so I set out another dish for her. I’m less worried about her and more worried someone will find it when they accidentally sit on it or knock it over.
Green pothos plant spilling out of a pink and white dollar store pot.
First day in the office in ages due to sick kid and then sick me. My pothos plant continues to slay despite the neglect, further proving some of us just like being left alone.
Um, hi, fellow knitter here… please may I ask - is… is this meant to be a gnome/Santa sweater? Because I see an opportunity here for some top-stitching and absolutely making someone’s day.
She is fine. She and every other dog in the neighbourhood still bark all the time. S hasn’t jumped the fence yet. He needs to do it before we get snow. Footprints.
Youngest child got sick on October 24. Went back to school for a few days then came down with an ear infection. He’s on the mend now, & I have his wretched virus: the sneezles and a fever. I just wanted all of us to have one stress free week/weekend before I booked fall vaccinations. Dammit.
PS is as well. Needlepoint and surveillance.
He’s a good kid.
Her breed traditionally served as guard dogs and rat chasers, so the barking is part of her genetics. She barks at people passing if she is outside but we bring her in when she starts verbally abusing one of the FOUR dogs that live in yards surrounding ours.
S is planning a late night trip over the fence to take out the batteries.
I may have already leaned over the fence with a hockey stick & took a few rage-filled whacks at it.
I’m sad that, instead of coming to me and saying “we’re noticing your dog is barking a lot and it’s bothering us. Is there anything you can do?”, he just installed this hateful box.
We’ll let the dog do the shitting, though she would never. I have a duck call that is being considered.
Discovered a neighbour put out an anti-barking device not 20’ from & aimed at my house. I am up to my eyeballs in grief right now, so I am dealing with it super well; I am considering bagpipes. At least now I know why my tiny dog sits and shakes sometimes. What would you do, Halisky?
Yay!!!
I don’t. When we’re running a meeting and that one guy who is joining by phone is eating their lunch… MUTE!
And if you organized gala events for the mystic arts sector, you could be Krystal Ball.
Nicely done.
If I was the person who wrote the little cards at a florist shop, I could be Steph A Notist.
That is has a familiar ring to it.
If only I worked in the Liberal government. Then I could be Steph L. Caucus.
I slept in the same bed with A when he had it last month, but I skipped town the day before he tested positive. He even drove me to the airport but we wore masks. You may be ok. The boys didn’t catch it from him either.
Let me just get some crackers and I’ll be right over.
Mainly it’s so my delicate flower of a dog stops nosing her way under the covers, to curl up by my feet, then getting too hot, crawling up to share my pillow, then crawling out for a while on top of the sheets, then getting cold again and nosing her way under the covers… etc. All night.
Note to self: don’t mix zopiclone with senna.
Truthfully, it’s listed as a side effect on most rx monographs.
Apparently it’s a side effect of magnesium as well, which is something we wanted to pick up for the small boy who is having growing pains.
