Stop treating Chemistry notes like a grocery list. 🧪 In the HSC, marks are in the logic, not just definitions.

I’ve mapped the "Working Scientifically" flow to help you stop the burnout and see the patterns. Logic > Terms. Always. 🧠

A common "ceiling" I see in Year 11 is students treating new content as isolated facts.

In my sessions, we connect new HSC topics back to the core logic of Year 10. Once you see the pattern, the "hard" work becomes intuitive.

That is the difference between surviving and mastering STEM.

Term 1 is approaching. For Year 11 students starting the HSC/IB, the jump in volume is often bigger than the difficulty.

My advice: Don't just increase practice hours. Audit your "Understanding" of Year 10 concepts. If the foundation is shaky, more practice won't help.

Whether a student is in Year 8 or preparing for the HSC, progress comes from understanding — not just practice.

When students grasp the ideas behind the maths or science, they become more confident, flexible, and less reliant on memorisation.

This is the approach I take.
