Spiritbox - Blessed Be
I've had this song stuck in my head for a few days now. It's a great track from about 6 years or so ago.
Serotonin like a loaded gun
I am a coward, you pull me up
Into a place where there's nothing that left for me
But insecurity

Einar Solberg + Orchestra = awesome new track from his upcoming solo release.
EINAR SOLBERG feat. The Norwegian Radio Orchestra – Stella Mortua
Ashes of a dying star
I’m so paralyzed, paralyzed
Their ascent became my scar
I’m so paralyzed, paralyzed
I've had the title for this one stuck in my head. It's such a mundane phrase, often heard during airplane safety instructions. Yet, when removed from context, it becomes a deeper philosophical statement that goes well with the music.
Everything performed by Matheos, except for drums on three tracks (including this one) which are provided by Dutch drummer Dennis Leeflang.
Instrumental track for the day:
Tuesday the Sky - The Nearest Exit May Be Behind You
"Indoor Enthusiast" the third album from Jim Matheos' post-rock project, Tuesday The Sky, kicks things off with this song.
This beautifully mournful track from his latest album Lifeblood could easily find its home on a future Ridley Scott Viking epic. Luckily, we don't have to wait since the amazingly talented Owl House Studios crafted an animated video that perfectly captures the theme and emotions of the song.
Here's an interesting live looping cover of "Thrill of the Chase", by Envy of None's very own Maiah Wynne.

It is solidarity in dark places. It is in honour of finding love within the ruins. It is a celebration of beauty and art as resistance. We hope you can find your single flower, wherever it is.
A comment from the band's website about the album titled, "A Single Flower":
It was written through a time where hope has been an afterthought. It is for people who can’t face tomorrow but do so with stoic hearts.
The title and its sound are meant to capture the perilous instability of our world - a feeling of standing on the edge, yet finding the resolve to keep going. The track is about confronting the despair of modern global issues (climate change, political upheaval) with a sense of defiant rebellion.

Instrumental track for the day, "A Dance with Death" by Australian band "We Lost The Sea".

The first new video from Vsauce in a couple of years and he hits with us with some philosophy and a bit of existential dread. Well worth the watch.
"We're not the Universe experiencing itself, we're the universe 𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 itself."

This is a fun video... Leprous is tasked with creating a cover version of a popular song on the spot, but it must also reflect that core Leprous sound. The video is cued up to the final take, but the whole video is worth a watch.

"The Beauty of Grey" by +Live+
The message is still just as poignant as ever.

Beautiful new single from cellist Raphael Weinroth-Browne
with an amazingly produced video.
“... I’ve spent my life chasing these fleeting moments where the music seems to play itself and have attempted to capture this in my performance on Lifeblood.”
For this cover image, I fed the complete lyrics into Google Gemini and it took a pretty decent stab at it.
Falling, falling, falling, fall into me
I hear echoes of my speech
And I see shadows of my walk
I feel the past
I always look backwards
[II]
My heart is drifting through all shades of green
My head is thinking through meadows of the sea
Lonely as I am
Expanding the scene where I've never (ever) been
A promise at last to call back the past
To finish off with you - I'm finishing off with you
Sliding down
I listened to the sound of your airs
We’re watching stone saints fall over
While the black crows will be taking to the sky
Falling, falling, falling, fall into me
I hear echoes of my speech
And I see shadows of my walk
I feel the past
I always look backwards
Falling, falling, falling, fall into me
I hear echoes of my speech
And I see shadows of my walk
I feel the past
I always look backwards
Fighting, floating
Tasting blood in my mouth
Ancient damp painting ruins
Feel the rising chill
