After US Bank Lot on Shepard and the Riverview Corridor, I am on team Build Adequate Now over Build Better Then.

Man, when you compare the bravery of every day Minnesotans to the overpaid cops it’s astounding
I think a lot of law office procedural TV convinced people that smart lawyers could make any bad thing illegal
How many of the reporters collect speaking fees at organizations sponsored by the Saudis?
21. Some cultures have produced vital advances; others remain dysfunctional and regressive. All cultures are now equal. Criticism and value judgments are forbidden. Yet this new dogma glosses over the fact that certain cultures and indeed subcultures . . . have produced wonders. Others have proven middling, and worse, regressive and harmful. 22. We must resist the shallow temptation of a vacant and hollow pluralism. We, in America and more broadly the West, have for the past half century resisted defining national cultures in the name of inclusivity. But inclusion into what?
Palantir is part of the "regressive and harmful" subculture that destroyed USAID, terminated mRNA research, trashed NIH & CDC & FDA & EPA, and brought back measles. Within the next few years, their subculture will be responsible for more preventable deaths than any other in human history.

"Pancreatic cancer mRNA vaccine shows lasting results in an early trial: Scientists caution that more research is needed, but nearly all of the patients who responded to the personalized vaccine are still alive six years later."
Glad to see Democrats attacking Saudi corruption directly.
Imagining the four of them on the Planning Commission hearing an appeal
Do they have a limit on the number of reconciliation bills they can do? If they use one for this, are they losing the chance to do something bigger down the road.
Excited to have @seiumn.bsky.social endorsed candidate for US Senate @peggyflanagan.bsky.social at the SD64 DFL Convention
i firmly believe that kennedy wants preventable diseases to rip through american communities since, in his warped mind, those who survive without vaccines will have proven themselves “healthy.”
shrouded figure on CBS
CBS News has a bombshell interview with a U.S. soldier who survived the deadly attack in Kuwait on the first day of the way -- he says Pete Hegseth is lying about the attack and that the base "was unprepared to provide any defense for itself." www.cbsnews.com/news/iran-wa...
The 28th Virginia battle flag is a Confederate battle flag that belonged to the 28th Virginia Infantry Regiment. Captured by the 1st Minnesota Infantry Regiment at the Battle of Gettysburg, the flag was brought to Minnesota and exhibited at the state's capitol for several years before passing into the permanent collection of the Minnesota Historical Society after 1896 where it has remained since.
Happy Confederate Surrender Day from Minnesota where we still have your goddamn flag and we’re not giving it up.

Or in Ben Franklin's case, writing the lewd pamphlets
My guess it involves handing out huge bags of cash to every DC foreign policy "expert".
This is a fantastic thread. Solidarity is a core value for the labor movement.
Found the perfect description on Trump in NOS4A2 by @joe-hill.bsky.social - "He looked instead like a stupid man, set upon doing something barbaric."
The country that inspired 9/11 got the US to fight all their battles for them. Amazing what funding a few think tanks can buy you.
Emmer's face always betrays his anger at himself for having to tell such obvious lies
I was reading this to my girlfriend and as soon as I said the name and before I could get to "NR" she chimed in "No Relation?"
🚨 🚨 ABC News confirms that Iran used advanced, passive infrared detection to shoot down the American F-15E fighter jet.
Passive infrared detection does not emit radar signals. As a result, it cannot be detected or jammed by American electronic warfare systems. That leaves our aircraft vulnerable.
“Renee Good, who was fatally shot by ICE in Minneapolis in January, would have been 38 years old on Thursday, with her family saying they are grateful for the time they had with her, and they miss her.” www.fox9.com/news/renee-g...
The funeral of John Paul Vann that opens A Bright Shinning Lie. Just realized it might be a homage to Tuchman.
US foreign policy is driven by the (well compensated) assumption that Shia Iran is responsible for the actions of Sunni extremists
Or just stop right before the apostrophe
It's not fashionable to say this, but basically Schumer, Jeffries and the Democratic Caucuses forced Trump, Johnson and Thune to tap out. They didn't give an inch and now Republicans are going to have to go through the meat grinder that is a SECOND reconciliation bill.
Speaker Johnson, Leader Thune Statement on DHS Funding WASHINGTON — This afternoon, Speaker Johnson and Leader Thune released a joint statement announcing a path forward to fully fund the Department of Homeland Security – including CBP and ICE – and end the record-long Democrat shutdown. “We appreciate and share the President’s determination to once and for all bring an end to the Democrat DHS shutdown. “In the coming days, Republicans in the Senate and House will be following through on the President’s directive by fully funding the entire Department of Homeland Security on two parallel tracks: through the appropriations process and through the reconciliation process. “We appreciate that Senator Graham and the Senate Budget Committee have already initiated the process of developing a budget resolution that will ensure border security and immigration enforcement will be funded for the balance of the Trump Administration and insulated from future attempts by the Democrats to defund those agencies.
“We operated under a belief that while our country is in the midst of an international armed conflict, Democrats might finally come to their senses and understand that defunding our homeland security agencies is beyond reckless and very dangerous. While we hoped they would accept the 60-day CR to fund the Department entirely so that bipartisan negotiations could continue, it is now abundantly clear that Democrats place allegiance to their radical left-wing base above all else — including their own power of the purse — which means open borders and protecting criminal illegal aliens. That is not acceptable to Republicans in Congress, nor is it to the American people. We cannot allow Democrats to any longer put the safety of the American public at risk through their open border policies, so we are taking that off the table. “In following this two-track approach, the Republican Congress will fully reopen the Department, make sure all federal workers are paid, and specifically fund immigration enforcement and border security for the next three years so that those law-enforcement activities can continue uninhibited. In return, Democrats will once again demonstrate to the American people their support for open borders and keeping criminal illegal immigrants in America.”
Johnson and Thune agree to Trump's plan to do a dual-track funding plan on Homeland Security via appropriations and reconciliation.
Trump called for a bill to be on his desk by June 1
It's hard to read this as anything but the Democrats won the DHS funding fight.
A single vote for Trump in the birthright citizenship case would be as bad as anything the Court has done since Bush v. Gore. This issue has been settled for more than a century. It is the jurisprudential equivalent of asking what 2+2 is. Any answer other than 4, something is deeply, deeply wrong.
A lot of SCOTUS decisions are dumb, badly reasoned, even dangerous, but merit compliance out of respect for the rule of law and the Court's position under Article III. A decision denying birthright citizenship is a challenge to the constitutional order and should be understood as such.
