Just ask if they have compostable shrink as an option. I don't think it has a special name.
The more people ask for it, the more manufacturers will at least look into it, and hopefully offer it. 👍

Yup. Also just using it to cover layoffs being caused by the economy that they swear is very good actually even though all the recession indicators have been screaming and yelling for over a year now.
Nope, clear "plastic" shrink; as far as I know it would be fairly indistinguishable from regular plastic shrink wrap.
A digital 4 panel comic. The first panel has a white cat that says "I try to be nice to everyone". The second panel has a black cat that replies with "ok now be nice to yourself." Third panel is the white cat staring in silence, and the fourth panel the white cat's expression changed into an angry one
Do you mean the shrink for the box? Some manufacturers offer a compostable option now...
Just drawin' sapphires.
A WHOLE CIVILIZATION WILL DIE TONIGHT My son needs lunch, and I have to put his backpack together, but a whole civilization will die tonight, so I'm wondering if they've closed their schools. Like, a snow day, maybe, except instead of snow it's "keep your children home so if you die, you die together" — instead of "well open back up once the plows have cleared" it's "we don't know if we'll be here tomorrow, hold your babies tight." It's just "talk" I'm told, which I've been told before. "It's how the president makes his deals." But I've never heard anyone talk about other human beings this way, and I'm not certain I can look my son in the eyes if we all agree to stomach it one more time. A civilization will die tonight, but as I zip up his backpack and kiss him off to school I think: if this is what we call leadership then I'm not entirely sure ours isn't already dead. @michaelfdubois Mukad A QuBoy @michacifdubois
Brutal.
“Dino Racer is about the highest volume one could pack into such a small box, plus a lovely addition to the expanding roster of wacky race games.“
“This game is worth every decibel. It’s cute, it’s fast, and it provides more meat than it might seem from a distance. That’s all good stuff.” 🎲✂️
We should get together sometime then!
I finally got Magical Athlete this week, thanks largely to Dan's review. Now I have another must-buy racer on my list:
*sigh*
If your Kickstarter video/image is AI, I won't back it.
If your book has an AI cover, I won't read it.
If you're a public supporter of AI use for creative work, I will unfollow you.
I cannot stress enough how offensive I find AI use in the arts. It is outright theft, it is lazy, it is gross.
In this week's video, I explore some of the different techniques I use to reliably generate new ideas for board game design!

[alt text by NASA] The Moon, seen here backlit by the Sun during a solar eclipse on April 6, 2026, is photographed by one of the cameras on the Orion spacecraft’s solar array wings. Orion is visible in the foreground on the left. Earth is reflecting sunlight at the left edge of the Moon, which is slightly brighter than the rest of the disk. The bright spot visible just below the Moon’s bottom right edge is Saturn. Beyond that, the bright spot at the right edge of the image is Mars. Credit: NASA
Whoa 🤯
The Moon, in full eclipse, with the #Artemis II Orion spacecraft. Part of the Moon and spacecraft are lit by Earthshine, and both Saturn and Mars are visible to the lower right. Incredible. Details: images.nasa.gov/details/art0...
I'm not sure what purpose this serves? This sounds like punishing your playtesters for your own bad rules... 😅
If you dread having to explain a rule in your game, that is a giant blinking sign that reads:

For a few years now I've been making and sharing 10-Track Playlists through the Button Shy community, and I'm going to slowly start sharing my lists here as well if anyone wants to listen.
The rules are simple: exactly 10 tracks from one artist/group. That's it.
Looking through one of the four windows of the Orion spacecraft, a tiny crescent Earth is illuminated against the blackness of space and grows smaller as the crew journeys closer to the Moon. Part of the window edge is visible; the rest is darkness. [Alt-text slightly revised from ESA/NASA version]
We are so, so small. #Artemis
So, thing that is apparently better understood inside academia than outside of it:
International students pay sticker price. Most domestic students do not. International students are subsidizing the education costs for domestic students, as per student governmental funding drops.

Yesssss would love to hear how this goes
I had to stop this early due to the recording slowing down my computer, but here’s a bit of a look at how I make the characters for 52 Duels/Adventures.

Love to hear that enthusiasm from the pilot. What an incredible view:
"The real threat is a slow, comfortable drift toward not understanding what you're doing. Not a dramatic collapse. Not Skynet. Just a generation of researchers who can produce results but can't produce understanding."
