A new paved section of footway that faces out onto a junction with 1-2 lane roads. The apex of the corner is level with the road
A fully-dropped junction apex

I hope to lucifer there are multiple bollards incoming but even then, WHY would you drop this kerb?? It's not a pedestrian feature, it's going to be the same colour as the road within 12 months

As far as I'm aware, you can't legally pull power from one of their batteries to your home wiring. Happy to be corrected though

Just seen that you're probably not in the UK which explains it!
This is ideal for me - cheap overnight charge, use throughout the day via normal home wiring

I think this is the first mural I’ve ever seen that honours an architect! This is a mural of Svetlana Kana Radević in Podgorica. She’s credited as the first female Montenegrin architect.

Can't wait for 5 o'clock today. Not to get away from work, but to be astounded by how light it is.
And then get home and talk about it some more.
Then say it again later.
And then keep checking the sky after that.
Then when it IS dark talk about how late it is.
Can't wait.

This sounds like the world's worst dataset.
They asked people at cycle parking stations...what *they* were concerned about?
They asked them what they thought the reasons other cyclists had for not parking at stations?
Not drivers? Not cycle infrastructure? Not safe routes?

A strip of flags is installed on a pavement with short metal strips embedded in them. The strips follow the curve of the footway around a corner
Interesting pedestrian detail I've not noticed before on this pretty steep corner, metal strips for better grip on the footway. Very much needed!

Drivers: Drivers are extremely safe and law-abiding at all times even though the speed limit is far too low and they could be trusted to travel at the speed of sound, especially at night.
Also drivers: You were riding a BIKE? On a ROAD? Are you trying to make me KILL you?

NHS official pushed to add patient data to Palantir platform whilst also advising company
A lobbyist who worked directly for Peter Mandelson, on the Palantir board, and on the board of *four* NHS trusts.
Lobbying the NHS to hand over even more patient data to Palantir.
This absolutely stinks. Get Palantir out of the NHS. Sign my petition:

Miffy’s bicycle by Dick Bruna
Miffy is a simple rabbit that goes on a bike trip
Title page
When I grow up, thought Miffy,
There’s something I would like -
To take a trip, if I’m allowed,
Touring on my bike
I’ll pedal through the meadows,
So colorful and bright.
I love to be near flowers.
They’re such a lovely sight
I’d like to share with you one of my favorite children’s books as a timeline cleanse. Maybe you know someone small you can share this story with.

I hope you enjoy it too.

These authors reviewed 73 previous studies examining car touchscreens.
Conclusion: They're awful
"Touchscreens tended to have negative effects on driving performance, visual attention, and secondary task performance compared with voice control and physical controls."

Do I have any followers with a story about how an electric bike changed their life for the better? I'm looking for strong examples of how an e-bike made something previously unattainable, or hard, a possibility.
For a print magazine, so come prepared with your best head/bike shot!

Facebook post
"Councillor Khayer Chowdhury is at Ilford Town Centre
Last week, Redbridge Police held an operation in the town centre to tackle footpath cycling and moped riding. A number of riders were issued Fixed Penalty Notices.
I am pleased that the police are finally taking action on this and I have asked for these operations to take place on high streets across the whole of Redbridge.
Many elderly residents and parents with children have complained to me about footpath cycling. Riders need to slow down, get off the footpath, and be considerate to vulnerable pedestrians.
Use the road instead please!"
It is over a selection of photos with loads of police walking through a pedestrianised area and in one, talking to a delivery rider.
These councillors make me sick.
Before posting this stuff, they should be forced to cycle the alternatives. For Ilford, it's either a full-on dual carriageway bypass, a series of service roads where you play chicken with drivers of the No.86 bus or chancing it through the pedestrian area which
