Conclusion: We found a hard constraint. If we ever detect GW oscillations with current or future interferometers, they CANNOT be attributed to this class of Multi-Proca Dark Energy models. A null result, but a robust physical boundary! Great work with my co-author Gabriel Gómez. 🚀

The result? To get a viable universe that looks like ours, the "mixing mass" governing these oscillations is forced into an ultra-light regime (m_g ~ H_0). This severely suppresses the effect. The modulation becomes so slow it is completely unobservable today. 📉

But here is the reality check. We didn't just study the perturbations; we rigorously solved the background cosmic evolution to ensure the model actually reproduces late-time accelerated expansion and is consistent with Large Scale Structure (LSS). 📐

The premise: Some Dark Energy models, like Multi-Proca (interacting vector fields), contain extra tensor modes. Theoretically, standard GWs could "mix" with these dark modes, causing their amplitude to modulate over time. Sounds like a great target for LIGO or LISA, right? 🌊 #gravitationalwaves

New paper in JCAP! 🥳
We looked into whether Dark Energy could mess with Gravitational Waves (GWs), specifically causing them to oscillate as they travel through the universe.
Physical consistency is strict. A short thread 🧵👇

Jacobson's thermodynamic approach to classical gravity applied to non-Riemmanian geometries: remarks on the simplicity of Nature Three decades ago, Ted Jacobson surprised us with a very appealing approach to classical gravity. According to his proposal, the gravitational field equations are the consequence of the first law of t...
