Keep Android Open Your phone is about to stop being yours. In September 2026, Google will block every Android app whose developer hasn't registered with them.

After 17 years of marketing Android as an open platform, Google is mandating developer registration for all apps. Independent developers, open-source contributors, and alternative stores like F-Droid face an uncertain future. @keepandroidopen.bsky.social keepandroidopen.org

the thing is that sometimes there are side things that go well with pizza but only when the pizza is cooked and the side thing isn't, so, like, you can't cook the side thing into the pizza, it just doesn't work like that

yeah I think kinda indirectly? p sure a lot of modern stuff in that vein is inspired (directly or indirectly) by Lovecraft, who was just kinda scared of science in general. I could be wrong tho don't quote me on that

I'm one of those trans women. I worked ground ops for Artemis I.

I am torn between celebrating the success of my friends and peers and grieving how my dream of working for NASA was shattered by hateful assholes in Tallahassee

neelix is straight-up one of my favourite star trek characters, but you gotta accept the following 2 facts:

1. the whole neelix/kes thing ends in season 3, it was fucking stupid and bad, and you can forget/ignore it going forward

2. neelix is just a silly little guy who loves you

At this point it feels like the only people making the games they actually want to are a few indie developers that got really lucky and also Hideo Kojima

I got banned from twitter in 2023 for this drawing. They called it "violent speech". It had over 40K likes and too many comments for me to read before my ban, but I still see it floating around here and there. Save a copy, and use it freely. No attribution needed. Love u

The one and only time artificial gravity has failed in all 940+ approx episodes of Star Trek was that time Archer was in the shower butt naked in Enterprise

might just be me but it feels a little like the transfem jax thing, where some people (understandably, but, imo, erroneously) are thinking that jax is transmasc-coded instead

I'm not boutta defend vivziepop because I don't know anything about her but this is a... really weirdly inconsistent list of things?? like why are "transphobia" and "racism" on the same list as "fujoshi" and "watches weird porn"?

Supporting the new Harry Potter series means putting money in JK Rowling’s pockets which she then uses to harm trans people. There is no ethical consumption of her shitty writing.

‘I will not comply’: Tennessee librarian refuses to move LGBTQ+ books Rutherford County library director Luanne James’s stand against a vote to relocate more than 190 titles draws national support as the board weighs firing her.

So I'm from Virginia. I currently live in TN and I also lived here as a teen. It's a little complicated.

Anyway, the Rutherford County PUBLIC library is where I spent a lot of time as a tween/teen. It shaped me. It saved me. This is a PUBLIC LIBRARY not even a school.

And I'm proud of *Luanne.
