#WorldFigure I’ve put off women’s free. Not sure if I dreaded seeing Amber drop, or face the reality of Kaori’s last skate. Both are so sad. The thought of a world without Kaori on the ice is soul crushing. Amazing skate Kaori! I hope you feel and understand how much love is sent your way. Onward!

NBC cut away before the medal ceremony. Found it on YouTube. Kaori w/tears on her face was a dagger thru my heart. But Kaori knows the game. I’m sure her heart is broken tonight but she’s so strong, so loved, and will remembered as one of the best in the world. Much love to her, she will be missed.

Absolutely. And placing in front of the Russian is “sprinkles” (borrowing a Johnny Weir term).

Amber Glenn vaulted from 13th to 5th in the free skate today. She threw down the best triple axle of her career -- better than anyone else's. She leaves the Olympics with a gold medal in the team event and with what I think is the biggest come back of any figure skater at these games. 🥇❤️🌈

Only way I could be happier is if Amber had climbed to 3rd! Kaori has been my favorite skater for so long. If not gold, silver behind an amazing Alysa skate is the next best thing. And so happy for Alysa. And on the petty side, Amber beat the Russian! #FigureSkating #Olympics

I really think judges underscore her. I’d love to see her come out next year with an “in your face”, dynamic short. All her programs are just beautiful, peaceful, elegant, artistic… all good things. But somehow it’s like she’s overlooked because she’s the primary ballerina.

Just finished watching. That’s my favorite program of the year. And Amber even made the popped jump look beautiful. Ughh.
