Perchance to dream… I had a dream about you last night. I don’t know that I’ll ever tell you about it, though… We were at a party of some sort. I know it wasn’t me holding it, as I was given a ride there on a scooter …

#favouritebooks 13. The Last Descendant, the first in the Bloodprint trilogy by Kristina Karin. A terrific merger of vampire lore and British police procedural, set in Cambridge. I’m told this is ‘dark fantasy’ (by the author, no less), and it’s been an engaging read… #lastdescendant #kristinakairn

Missed connection I wonder whatever happened to her… This may just be a facet of getting older (or perhaps it’s just a tendency to wallow in the past occasionally), but sometimes I wonder about people I’ve encounter…

#favouritebooks 12. The Rumpole of the Bailey series, both on telly and in print, are some of the best written pieces ever. Rumpole is who I want to be when I grow up, if I’m not him already. #rumpoleofthebailey #johnmortimer

I’ve long been a Thompson fan, and this first volume of his correspondence is a fascinating look into Hunter outside of his published works, as well as the times he lived in. Letter writing is a lost art in these days of emails! #huntersthompson #proudhighway

#favouritebooks Number 10.

As many know, the character of Avon from Blake’s 7 is a favourite of mine, even to the point of emulating him somewhat. Which is funny, as Avon is not a nice person! Unlike Paul Darrow, who portrayed him, and wrote this terrific autobiography.

Favourite books. Number 8. (Because I forgot to do an 8 when I did number 9!)

That time when Thatcher was nearly killed by the IRA. What might the world have been like afterwards…

Favourite books. Number 9.

In 1946, an alien virus is released high above the city of New York. 90 times out of 100, it kills. 9 times out of 100, it mutates humans in horrible ways. And that 1 time in a 100, it might give you power you can only dream of…

Favourite books. Number 5.

This is the first in a series, set in 1936 Chicago, about a journalist who gets killed and returns as a vampire. Terrific stuff, about a dozen books in the series?

Favourite books! Number 1 in a series. Said series will be updated when I feel like it. There will be no in depth explanations or analyses, owing to the character limit. But these are books I’ve truly enjoyed, and would recommend.

So…I have a WordPress site that, somewhat to my amazement, I actually post things to. Mostly short opinion pieces and lately, short stories. Feel free to peruse.

I’ve honestly lost track of how many I’ve joined over the years, each one purporting to be the new FB, Twitter, whatever. Hasn’t happened yet, but you never know…
