Thing is. They must think they’re interesting… and that we will find them as such. Seems cruel to disabuse them of this thought.

Pope Leo XIV: the pontiff at war with the White House The Chicago-born pope has offered an alternative vision of Catholicism — and American power

The choice of Pope Leo was a master stroke. His ability to question Trump and his Christian cult followers — in an American accent — is already beating fruit (Gift link.)

I absolutely agree. Nasty odious horrible corrupt creep hired purely because he could be a Trump whisperer. And it should never have happened. I think my point is that this is all sucking up so much oxygen when we’re in such deep existential shit. And I’m tired of the lot of them.

We have so many problems that need fixing. The Tories and Reform only know how to point fingers and complain. It is so so tiring. Starmer clearly made a mistake. But nowhere near as big as those the Tories and Farage made with Brexit lies. And the UK needs to focus on our uncertain future.

Remember AOC’s “tax the rich” dress that she wore to the Met Gala? That was awesome too. I have so much respect for both.

I’m so confused. Offline for one day and I seriously don’t know if this is a ceasefire sort of day or a war sort of day. Strait open or closed. Oil up or down. How do businesses plan ahead for this sort of nonsense.

Richmond Bridge and the Thames

Richmond Bridge and the Thames

The Thames at Richmond. My home. I’m walking from source to sea this summer to raise money for mental health programmes. Your support would be so welcome #charity. givestar.io/gs/100-miles...

Awesome. That’ll raise a fair bit on gold gear, polo pop collars and gilets alone.

I wonder if JPMorgan Chase has bought back the “Volfefe Index”? They’d need a whole new XY axis scale on their charts.

“I have done mostly what most men do,
And pushed it out of my mind;
But I can’t forget, if I wanted to,
Four-Feet trotting behind.

Day after day, the whole day through—
Wherever my road inclined—
Four-Feet said, ‘I am coming with you!’
And trotted along behind. …

Any poll that doesn’t validate email is subject to BOTs. Even given that, it approves of returning to EU. I expect it to be flooded with BOTs to push it the other way.

I am struggling. Waiting for the sound of dropping shoes. It’s so long since something good happened. Bravo Hungary. But worry not. Don is about to muck up even more in the Strait of Hormuz. So we’ll be back to sleepless nights again.

Wow. I love Mamdani — but walking to work and talking to people on the way is a pretty low bar — politicians have a long way to go to become worthy of admiration. Bravo Mamdani. But it somehow feels sad too.

That’s so sweet. I think she’s saying “thank you for rescuing me” and that’s lovely.

This is a grave and era-defining moment for the world. Donald Trump is making wilder and increasingly concerning threats by the hour.

If Trump follows through with this, Keir Starmer must immediately recall Parliament.

Will this be heard? @labouruk.bsky.social it needs to be. We must not support and enable these war crimes.

Donald Trump post threatening Iran, saying “a whole civilisation will die tonight.”

After Trump's latest shocking threats, Keir Starmer faces a choice.

Withdraw US access now to UK air bases, or risk letting British soil be used to commit war crimes.

London here. Someone please lock him up. That’s something Europe *would* support. Not a war we weren’t consulted on, or agreed with. It’s a terrifying time.

Good question. I think she got worn down and suffered one two many serious threats. Just a guess.

I’ll comment here too. So you don’t feel like you’re posting into the void. I’ve wondered the same thing.
