Maybe it's not just PCD and it's a sign that you need a change! I know when I moved out of my rural hometown and went south 500 miles to be closer to my friends it ended up being the best decision I ever made. It'll come with challenges but a change in scenery can really do wonders.

and hey I’ve met a lot of people who really love what I do and that means so fuckin much to me, I’m so grateful for that!! Like seriously!!! But god man I’m such a maximalist and I wish I could connect to people better in a musical sense

To be clear I’m not coming down on myself, I’m confident in what I do (usually), nor on anyone who doesn’t dig what I do, that’s totally okay. I think what feels emotionally compelling, exciting, etc. to write musically for me doesn’t resonate with most people, and it makes me feel isolated at times

random thought but I do often struggle with the kind of music I end up creating in the sense that what is true and authentic expression to me is unapproachable and unenjoyable to a large swath of people. And that’s okay! But oftentimes I wish what I wrote could resonate with more people…
