I had to look that one up, I would imagine my parents would know about it π

Yes I remember the same... π
This is probably one of my rarer ones, mainly cos it was a Kickstarter that didn't do amazingly well, two of the guys from Dirty Sanchez. Still not even watched it!
Ah fair enough. Not sure any of mine were "rare" anyway! Except maybe the Joey boxset cos NO ONE watched it
Argh I took a box of DVDs to the charity shop and CEX last week, not that you needed (probably) another I'm Alan Partridge / KMKYWAP boxset but if I dig out more I'll give you a holler if you want
Sir Stanley Hooker went to my school. He had a pivotal role in the design of engines for the Concorde, Avro Vulcan and the famous "vectored thrust" engine for the Harrier.
Meanwhile I code Discord bots for people in my spare time. Who's really winning?
My Cherry MX browns annoy my colleagues (and partner) enough to make buckling springs a no no. I'm totally not jealous...
If this were 5 years ago I'd snap your hand off, but I'm also trying to offload one for similar reasons - good luck with the sale though! :)
The first Barcade without @hkt3030.neocities.org.
It's not the same without you buddy, thank you @overlord44.bsky.social for the lovely eulogy too β€οΈ
The Pikachu looks hideous too, especially when you consider how much of a better job Mega Bloks did for Β£130 less!
I used to love the old simulator on CBRD - great to see this new incarnation!
I miss UKNova :( still have a few things grabbed from there
It was a beautiful ceremony and was lovely to meet everyone, it was great to see how much he touched everyone he knew β€οΈ
First thing I did when I got home was play through Sonic 1. Obviously not as good as Nik though as I didn't get all the emeralds!
The N64 Magazine callbacks on it are *chefs kiss*
Not sure I got them all but:
- The four colours for the controller buttons by the mag title
- Worldy Bloke - I think that was its name!
- The two-tone cover colour, simulating the little flap N64 Magazine had
This is going to be a bitter sweet one for me. Love playing ChuChu but it's so sad that @hkt3030.neocities.org won't be playing it with us. Hope you can join us β€οΈ
I got into gaming magazines later than I'd like to admit, but I owned every copy of N64 Magazine from Issue 12 until its rebranding as NGC, and about a year after too.
The comedy in the mag was brilliant, they were SAVAGE on bad games - the whole team were just great. Andrea with her Big Stickβ’οΈ!
My first and middle initials form "J. R. Harland". Anyone born before 1988 references this fucking TV advert when they realise: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zh8i...
I was just rewatching an old stream that he was on with a few of us and he mentioned about the in joke about his favourite game being Sonic 1 but you always put Sonic 2, which really tickled me!

He then proceeded to wipe the floor with us on ChuChu Rocket β€οΈ
I didn't know him quite as well as many in the community, but every time I met him at Sonic Retro social events he was an absolutely lovely guy and a whizz at ChuChu Rocket.
We chatted at length last year about Gladiators and he even sent me a CD rip of the OST so I could upload them.
RIP dude.
Ah yeah they're SAS, I have a cheap raid card in my unraid server!
I bought a few 10TB datacentre refurbs from eBay for about Β£80 each back in March. So far they've been doing OK at storing my "Linux ISOs", although even those are now Β£99.99
I'd buy new but I have a parity drive so just living dangerously instead
You inspire me.
#Cloudflare
lol bye then cloudflare
A messy box of useless-right-now but could be useful in the future wires
Amen to that. I have 4 boxes like this
All my PokΓ©mon packs went and we have lots of sweets left. Kids these days!
It made me IRL LOL, but then I realised how realistic this could be for the future and I got a bit sad
Oh my god some fucking tech dingdong posted this on Twitter with the caption "AI games are going to be amazing" totally seriously, you have to watch it. You have to. In full screen.
Be awesome to see these milling around St Pancras but will be sad to see the 373s go. Love the sound they make at speed!
I love stuff like this. I have a huge hardback book called The Internet Atlas from 2000 that comments about how unique Google is compared to the search engines of the time. Love the fact that we had a 500 page book to tell us what websites were available.
Picture of Yahoo of the time for comparison!
Man that is a beauty - and what a great arbitrary number π
