Corollary, in the words of Gojira - when you change yourself you change the world.
It's easier to change software than to change people.
And of course, they're on Pelagic Records, the most interesting label in heavy music today.
You know whats also great? This new BEAR single - open.spotify.com/track/426nNp...
886 monthly listeners is a crime. Some excellent brutality.
Honestly miss my American friends. It's just such a hard to reckon with risk.
Cultural vandalism.

Honestly, even if I'm willing my nearest and dearest really don't want me to do the US at the moment. It's absolutely a thing.
No sleep until the end of the album.
I am struggling for the correct words to convey to you just how hard the new Nine Inch Nails album goes.
It's a remix collaboration with Boys Noize, and it's a dance-oriented blend of 'studio' recording and the live Coachella performance from Saturday. The singing is strong, the music is slammin'
Nine Inch Fucking Noise.
Is there anything more funny than being "invited" to apply for an "exclusive" credit card, but the fancy letter coming through the door with insufficient postage paid.
The irony can take me instead.
David Bowie would be so proud of Trent Reznor right now I swear.
This Nine Inch Noize show is incredible.
Wrote up some thoughts on Anthropic's Project Glassing, where their latest Opus-beating model is available to partnered security research organizations only. Given the recent alarm bells raised by credible security voices I think this is a justified decision.

Royal Rivers is one of the nicest hotels I've ever seen, priced appropriately, but occasionally has good offers.
I've stayed at both the Ritz Carlton Abama, and Royal Rivers out there (former is cheaper, latter is ÂŁÂŁÂŁÂŁ but every room has a private pool).
Nothing to see in the local areas really, but good food and sunshine.
Low key rec - go to the boring side of Tenerife. Lots of nice hotels with pools and bars, none of the lads on tour.
It's a nowhere place but if you just want to unwind, it's great.
ItsHappening - devblogs.microsoft.com/dotnet/cshar... - I like this implementation, and especially the Attribute driven bridge for existing libraries.
Demolition Man is an Austin Powers sequel, clearly.
And finally, my favourite, the "cool we'll port it to python" people.
Truly the PHP of its era.
The Claude source *maps* leaks are the biggest confluence of irony I've seen in awhile on about 6 different axis.
Simultaneously funny at the expense of:
- Those who think that's the source
- Those who think there is no value in implementation
- The auto-cannibalism of the "AI community

Old man yearns for the internet of yore
This is very sad, always got the impression that Eidos Montreal were some of the best in the business.
Team Max Headroom Mario Movie was best.
God I hated Mario so much. It was the first film I'd ever seen that was *only* nostalgia bait references. Well constructed nothingness.
Sonic, on the other hand, is somehow 10/10.
Hey, ready for the new toxic engineering measurement number?
Output measured in tokens/second.
I'm sorry / you're welcome / you're doomed.
My weirdest programming ick in C-like languages is braceless single returns in conditionals.
So easy to make formatting related typo-mistakes. So easy to not read.
(then grab a small model you can fit inside whatever GPU memory you have, something like the 4/12bit quant versions of gemma3 - lmstudio.ai/models/gemma-3 - there's an built-in model browser/downloader)
Just grab LM Studio, you can enable an OpenAPI compatible localhost API to script over. It's really good.
