A goat who lives behind my house, who is angling her neck awkwardly in a rather pathetic and desperate attempt to see my television set and catch the finale of season 7 of The Gilmore Girls.

THREAD.

A collection of photographs of excellent goats I have met during walks in the British countryside.

This Ramadan, know this: I am me, a Muslim and a Briton. I am not a headline, a threat or a stereotype | Nazir Afzal I am, like millions of others, dutifully fasting from dawn to dusk this month. My faith does not define me. It refines me, says Nazir Afzal, chancellor of the University of Manchester

Very true! I don't know how to tell whether someone is being coerced to vote a certain way in the polling station, or is just having a chat with a family member. Either way, polling centre staff noticed no irregularities.

This made me laugh this morning because it's pretty much what some news rags are saying...

Thing is, even if family voting did happen (not good), the electoral observer said it happened 35 times. That's 35 votes. Not thousands.

I know I don't live there, but everything in America is shocking me - while sadly, not surprising me. Standing with everyone protesting in Minneapolis at the moment, and hope to be able to protest soon here to have our voices heard about the appalling acts of violence over there too.

Tree glowing red after sunrise reflected abstractly in a frozen canal. There are some patterns in the ice that look a bit like a bird’s wing.

Took quite a lot of images over the last week so difficult deciding on which to post for #ShareMondays2026 but I just adored the icy Grand Union Canal and golden reflections of the trees :)

A hilly landscape with sun rays shining through the clouds. There is a dusting of snow on the high fells and the valley is lit by the wintry sun.

"...political indoctrination agendas"... Not agreeing with someone who refuses to condemn school shootings is now political indoctrination, hmm? This is really worrying.

Can you explain how we are 'full'? From where I'm sitting, there is a LOT of space.

Also, you are quite literally saying that people who are experiencing war, famine, persecution, cannot be allowed to go to a place where they will be safe.

Sickening. God forbid you ever experience any of those.

There is of course another solution to the β€˜asylum seeker problem’. Start thinking of them as human.

When you do that, the β€˜problem’ kind of melts away.

Words cannot adequately describe what a colossal disappointment our mainstream media has been during our slow descent into authoritarianism.
