If only it were possible to find new homes for animals, or perhaps an organisation willing to take them in, rather than just murdering them when they're inconvenient.

As someone who has rescued and cared for many foxes, they absolutely would not make great pets. Let wildlife be wild, we've fucked up enough species already.
I suspect the local wildlife would disagree
No animal is an indoor animal by nature. We keep animals contained when needed for their health and safety and to manage their impact on wildlife. Or we should. Catios or cat fencing are a great option these days.
The most at risk group are new fledglings. Young, healthy birds that never even get a chance at life. Source? Wildlife rescuer of 30+ years. Every Spring rescues are overwhelmed with chewed up birds barely a few weeks old.
I saw a Swasticar the other day with a personalised number plate that was trying to say Tesla (TE5 LA or similar). Genuine Hall of Cunt Fame inductee.
A cupboard with white louvre doors. The wall around the doors is covered with a white wallpaper with flowers on it.
We finished a project in our bathroom, wallpapering the surround of our airing cupboard to make it pretty
Two pigeons 'kiss' while standing in a nest box made from storage cubes
Two of my rescued pigeons fell in love which makes me super happy. They've both had a difficult road so I'm delighted to see them healthy and happy π₯°
Sorry, but this is disappointing to hear from animal lovers. Betting is what keeps this barbaric event going. I think the total is now up to 69 horses killed during this 'festival' since 2000. Does winning 10p for each one feel good?
Guilty as charged. I sometimes leave 1 and A blank (but make them small) because it makes me twitch if I can see borders everywhere else but not top/left. Totally with you on the headers though, not locking them is super annoying.
Thatβs a whole lotta words to say you have absolutely no evidence to back up your wild claims π
Actual social sciences have plenty of sources. Your comment has nothing to do with social science other than being a good example of multiple logical fallacies.
You're actually, unironically, citing youtube videos as a source? Gold!
Is that right? And your source for that claim is....?
Bloody vegans commenting on a post about an animal commonly used for food. Just let people coo over the cute animal without having to think about how it's going to die horribly so they can have a snack!
I have good news for you - @weratedogs.com
A black and tan dog lays on a sofa with a cheeky smile on his face
Oh Sophie! I wonder if this is a Romanian thing? Our Frodo hated cats with a passion!
A two day old baby pigeon, about the size of a sparrow and covered in yellow fluff. There is visible damage to the neck and head.
A four week old baby pigeon, now mostly feathered though still quite fluffy. A disruption in the feathers is still visible on the head and neck but no actual wounds.
Two of my rescued pigeons managed to sneakily have a baby in the aviary. But a norty mouse tried to make a snack out of the bubba and he had bad wounds on his neck and head. I've been hand raising him for the last 4 weeks and today he pecked at seed for the first time. This is Sprout π
I live a couple of towns over from Morden and can confirm it is not lovely.
It's just not that simple because how individual bodies use energy - how much goes out - is variable due to hormones, medications, and just natural variations in metabolism. Anyway, you seem very committed to not understanding this, so I think my energy is best spent elsewhere.
So people can have different levels of function in their eyes, kidneys, joints, brain...any function of their body, but every human ever born has an identical metabolism. And medical conditions and drugs can make you lose weight but definitely never gain it! Makes perfect sense.
So the real question isnβt βwhere does the mass come from,β itβs whether the personβs *actual* energy balance is what you think it is. In many medical situations it isnβt that simple.
Conditions like hypothyroidism, endocrine disorders, even menopause, or meds such as corticosteroids can lower metabolic rate, increase fluid retention, or alter how energy is stored and used by the body.
No one is arguing with the First Law. The issue is that human metabolism isnβt a simple mechanical system where βcalories inβ and βcalories outβ are fixed or easily measured. Hormones, illness, medications, metabolic adaptation, and fluid balance affect how much energy the body actually expends.
Yeah that's not what I said at all. But yes, a body can gain weight (usually fluid weight rather than fat) despite lower calories with some hormonal conditions or medications. Other meds can slow metabolism or promote fat storage. Bodies are complicated.
Except it's not. Human beings are complex machines and we all process calories differently. Health issues, hormones, medications etc can all complicate how your body uses what you eat and how much you can exercise. That's the point.
This is why people struggle to get their genuine allergies taken seriously. Twat.
Yes, spot on. The truth is, even without the gre(a)y squirrels, there wouldn't be reds in most of the UK because the habitat just isn't right for them any more. Much easier to scapegoat a rodent than look at our own effect on the countryside though!
Noone else understands when I say something tastes of fridge. Ugh!
Dogs CAN be autistic but obviously it has nothing to do with vaccines, just as per humans.
