Bright misty morning over the Cree valley. The fields are dew covered and green, the tide in the estuary is out. You can't see Cairnsmore.
Hazy start this morning has been followed by a hazy day. Happy hump day BlueSky.

That could explain it 🤣
Leafy crop growing in the field next door, the valley is grassy. The sky is overcast with clouds all the way down. The distant hills are nowhere to be seen.
The farmer has installed a fence, single strand with insulators so I assume electric? I'm not sure if it's to keep me out or the brassicas in. Hope your day is more promising than mine BlueSky.
If Italians were talking about world events thankfully my language skills were insufficient to allow me to be concerned about them.
I don't know about that, it's scorchio in SW Scotland despite promises of rain. You always seem to find the best ways of unlocking the "fun". I'm envious tbh, I'd rather tackle a wiring loom conversion than whatever this AI contact center bollox is that I'm actually supposed to deal with.
sorry Hol, we went on holiday and I felt it wouldn't really be a holiday if I looked at the news and social media. So I took two weeks off, truly off. looked at the scenery and laughed with my family instead. looks like nothing has changed much in the intervening period tbh.
Blues skies over the Cree valley this morning. The green growth in the field next door is leafy and the plants in the rockery are unkempt and dew covered.
back to work after two weeks away from it all. My laptop was very unhappy about being switched back on this morning. Lovely to see that absolutely nothing has improved with the world after two weeks of me ignoring it. I hope you have a great week BlueSky.
My mom and stepdad are from the same diaspora group as Zohran Mamdani’s dad (same like “my stepdad was kicked out of the same town and knows some of his classmates”) and apparently the New York Times doesn’t understand how diaspora works, so I am going to tell you a little about my mom’s people!
Two Roman cavalry swords, a settlement and a villa. Don't think it'll catch on as a film title ;)

Not something I see very often though I could have sworn I had a picture of something similar over Manchester. I need to learn more cloud words. I stood on tiptoes so I could get the silage bails in this morning's picture but it's still from my office door, looking due east.
Sunshine briefly breaks through the clouds in the Cree valley. In the foreground is the green roof of my neighbors sheds. The estuary is near the top of the tide and beyond you can see the fields and buildings of the other farmer. There may even be rain falling on the uplands beyond.
Happy Friday everyone. TIL that on the other side of the river they bail the silage rather than trailer it away.
🤣
Thanks for that, I was ignorant of the Paisley snail until this very moment. 😊
👏👏👏Well said Alexei
Botanical brewers seem to have been producers of non alcoholic beverages and there are many examples of similar stoneware from such producers up and down the country. Presumably it was not for sale in this vessel and I suspect it was a cordial or some such for mixing at point of sale.
Posed staff safety photograph, showing a railway worker riding on the side of a wagon, standing on the brake and holding on to the wagon side. The caption reads 'gambling with lives to save a few minutes' walk.'
#OnThisDay 1899 Cambrian Railways goods guard Thomas Thomas was injured at #Abermule, #Wales.
He fell off a wagon, whilst riding on its brake. He was off work for 3 days - but it could so easily have been a lot more serious.

You too? School broke up an hour ago and my living room is apparently a UFC ring 😕
I've heard Dundee is nice and to my shame I've never been. Need to get out and see more of Scotland, I've lived only in the west and I've not experienced the rest.
A large naval submarine is docked at the illuminated Faslane naval base at night, with lights reflecting on the water. Text overlay reads: “Faslane’s radioactive secrets to be released after The Ferret FOI battle” with a yellow and green accent bar. The Ferret logo is partially visible in the bottom right corner.
🔴 EXCLUSIVE: Information kept secret for years on radioactive problems at the Clyde nuclear bomb bases is to be released to the public, after Scotland’s freedom of information watchdog said it threatens “reputations” not national security.
He was never wrong.
Looking across the Tay Estuary. Water and sky are blue. Low rises of Fife visible round to Kinshaldy.
The Tay. I think about 1.2km wide here, the narrowest point and where the tide is fastest. You can hear a bull roaring in the fields in Fife and deer swim the river here.
Stunning Archie, good morning.
Bugger, that's harsh. The reason there are no NHS dentists is that it doesn't pay. Anything more than a checkup on the NHS is done at a loss to the dentist, charity work essentially.
Morning Steve
Good morning
Morning Frankie.
Morning!!
Cairnsmore under a cap of cloud this morning, the fields in the valley have been mowed and are light green. I have no idea what's growing in the field next to me but it's leafy.
Cool and still start to the day here in the Cree valley. I expect it will be just as warm and sunny later as it was yesterday. Have a good one BlueSky, nearly there.
Otters are very good at not appearing when you want them to but I have sat not far from where this photo was taken watching them open shellfish on their chests.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
