Just say you don’t want to! Also, this type of research is tailored to what stream it's in (changes the nature of the scope, obviously) and I don't need to add that on as a technical necessity but...it's kind of shocking behaviour in 2026? transparency and fairness where?

academic 🧵: One of my colleagues (kudos to them for always being so gracious) was telling me over lunch that they received an email from someone saying it was 'unprofessional' to politely request which stream of funding to apply to before handing over a full-length research proposal. Ahem. (1/3)

"Starve the Artists and Wonder Why the World is Ugly" Sticker for Sale by MHudsonArtist Obviously it's hard out there for human artists, and I just wanted to make something that expressed how I feel as a struggling creator in a world increasingly filled with slop made from my stolen work...

The old ones knew this border,
that the world is thin in certain places,
that love itself is one of those thin places,
a gap in the rock
where two lights touch without meeting.

I love painting owls, but it's a lot of work. I'm making good progress on this digital painting barred owl, though. #WorkInProgress #SciArt

It's release day for Staging Blackface in Canada! Now available wherever you shop for books! Congratulations to author Cheryl Thompson on this important study of how the early 20th century Canadian stage became a playground for ethnic jokes, racial caricature, and women’s emancipation.

I would say chipotle. I think there’s such a draw for it amongst young ppl. Also if there’s a catering style option it’s less messy and might make things feel a bit more party like (make your own nachos/tacos etc.,) nice and customizable for allergies/diet restrictions too.
