The way India use him is so clever as well, not opening the bowling. The threat of him coming on puts pressure on players to hit out against the other bowlers, so why waste his overs at the start.
I have one that regularly gets chased off by jackdaws in my neighbourhood. Sometimes we can have up to 10 or so flying overhead but I never manage to get the Merlin app open and listening in time!
