It takes more than just saying “no more”. It takes actually working together to enforce that. There’s very little cooperation in that due to a mix of rampant mutual distrust and disagreeing on what steps are appropriate.

I’ve read portions of both charters for school. The Hamas charter does not line up with history, much less Muslim tradition. Granted, they also don’t actually follow shari’a, despite their claims. Ironically, I could interpret the first Hadith they cite in their charter as a teaching against them.

That’s what I’ve seen so far. Granted, that’s complicated by the amount of propaganda Hamas has ensured Gazans are subjected to. Them being able to work in Israel provided some degree of an opportunity to counter that but now that’s gone.

There would be some degree of complications, just due to the history of the last century, but it wouldn’t be nearly so complicated if both peoples had leaders who, at minimum, truly cared about their peoples it doesn’t need to be like this!

I tend to piss both sides off because I won’t condone Kahanist violence, I won’t condone Hamas’ violence, and I won’t erase either people’s history in the land.

No, Hamas is a branch of the Muslim Brotherhood that is barely a century old. Hamas doesn’t even want the original caliphate. They want an empire that is exclusively Muslim, likely exclusively Shi’a. They’re very different from prior Muslim regimes. Even their antisemitism is different.

Because there are no Jewish citizens of Palestine. It’s Israeli existence in Palestine that’s the crime. And OF COURSE there are no Jewish citizens of Palestine, even though there were originally supposed to be. I know that, while there were more Arabs displaced in 1948, there were more Jews killed.

And the fact that it’s not a common position on either side frustrates me SO MUCH. Because it leaves both Israelis and Palestinians with few paths toward a true peace due to genuinely horrible leadership. And I’m not willing to sacrifice either people. We’re BROTHERS!

One that will likely require travel eventually. And probably working with a geneologist and genetic geneologist.

Gov. Tim Walz confirmed ICE shot someone in Minneapolis, MN!

DHS officials confirmed around 11:45 am that one person died in the shooting.

DHS officials did not confirm whether the crash was between cars or between a vehicle and ICE agents.

There’s no reason to send thousands of ice agents into the twin cities or anywhere for that matter. This was bound to happen and will happen again. We can’t trust ICE’s account, and further investigation needs to happen. But this woman wouldn’t have been killed if the ICE agents weren’t there.
