Our airport is so great that planes land themselves just to hang at PDX, flyover smyover.

Fair cop. If you’ve recently show a penchant for breaking international agreements on the whim of your leader, it can make negotiating new agreements difficult.
Madman theory doesn’t work.
Well this is a bummer, I love my R+M and have put thousands of miles on it. Hopefully they will return.
Such a positive response didn't expect a deleted OP.
yeah I wish that they would have a filter that allowed you to block all AI content, doing it channel by channel is a bit annoying but necessary.
As someone who lives a few blocks from Sandy, this would be so cool.
imagine a sunny saturday afternoon with Sandy Boulevard car free from 12th all the way to the grotto, or broadway from hollywood all the way across the river and through downtown. think of all the small businesses selling dim sum and asian pastries on a saturday streets event on 82nd avenue
Iran hits back on social media.
When I moved here it was pretty normal to see 100k shifts over the course of ~10 blocks on the Eastside. I do feel like things are flatter now than they were 20 years ago, but also don't have any actual data analysis to back that up.
I dunno they seem motivated.
I think cards may be easier to get now but I recall in Malaysia having to go to a specific kind of store because of terrorism concerns so it was a hassle. A few years back we went to Nigeria and it just worked even there. It probably isn't cheapest, but it is pretty convenient.
Yeah I guess my compare was at and t charging me 30 dollars because some people left me voicemails when I was working in Singapore even though I did not answer or check the voicemails. That was a couple decades back.
I really don't understand why anyone is willing to travel to a lot of places in the middle east. Not worth the risk imho, unfortunately a reputation my own country also seems to be earning recently.
I haven't been travelling much since covid, but I signed up for Fi because of the international service and it is so awesome that everything just works without any price gouging and without having to do anything.
@kenjennings.bsky.social nicely done noting that they were celebrating the Wright Brothers first flight not the first flight. My great aunt Stella wrote two books about Gustave Whitehead's earlier flights.
when farebox recovery is low fares really dont make sense to me. In Corvallis Oregon for example when fares were replaced with a $10/household/month utility fee ridership increased 50%. There are better funding mechanisms than fares.
Blue sky’s reaction to the end of the game suggests that this NYT article is as off base as most of their stuff on politics have been recently.
oh now SUDDENLY he hates it when you tax international trade
ICE agents at airports are wearing vests that say POLICE. A federal court already ruled this practice deceptive and illegal. They kept doing it. Democrats demanded visible ICE identification after 2 Americans were killed in Minneapolis. Republicans blocked it seven times. Now they're at your airport
how many of the posts are missing already? They just installed one of these near my work in Vancouver WA and dozens of posts were gone after 2 days. Flex posts are ineffective and a waste of money, concrete is what is needed.
Things astrologists say for 1000 Alex.
Everyone knows that the best proof of superpower status is when another country dictates your foreign policy. MAGA!
I also don't think we should implement anything unless Washington does it too, it would be insane for people who live in Oregon and Work in Vancouver or vice versa to have to change their clocks twice a day.
I agree that what we want is permanent daylight time. Oregon passed it in 2019 but we can't implement it without congress. I believe the push for permanent standard time was because we don't need congresses approval to implement it.
Oregon already passed permanent Daylight Savings time, the US congress continues to refuse to allow us to implement it.
Yeah, looking at the Portland maps it looks like they were getting pressured by the city, and I heard today that they have sold the property. I just don't see any reason why zoning should not allow what they were doing across the street from a sports bar but they were technically in violation.
Be the future you want to live in.
I hear they are selling the building, still hoping for a reopening somewhere else nearby.
I am hoping to hear that they are moving to another location but my guess is that this may be the end for them.
