That advice from Simpsons writer John Swartzwelder to, essentially, turn all writing work into revision work by doing your first draft ASAP is making the rounds again & I'd like to say- not only do I agree that it's good writing advice, but I have been applying it to comics too, to great success!

you know what i do when i encounter a fic with tags that make me go "no way"? i scroll past it & don't read it. you know what i do if i realize mid-way through reading something that it's not for me? i click the back button. i don't hate read it and leave a shitty comment.
