Oooh so cool!

I am so sick of every application I use asking me if I want to use AI. I don’t. Go away. ESPECIALLY when you’re offering to summarize important documents. Yes I DO need to read that whole thing, actually. No I DON’T want the garbage program to run it through the garbage machine.
Started The Paris Match by Kate Clayborn this morning and was immediately hooked. Like I always am. What a phenomenal writer.
fine, I will also learn about the Avignon Papacy
Thank you! I just realized I bought the first Thursday Murder Club book a couple years ago and never read it, so that’ll be my first stop. But I’m saving this list!
If a person was getting into cozy-ish mysteries, where should that person start? Recently read and enjoyed Detective Aunty by Uzma Jalaluddin and Murder Takes a Vacation by Laura Lippman. Recs wanted!
This morning I thought I saw a bunny but it was actually a squirrel whose tail had been bitten or torn off (the tip was white, presumably from trauma). Happy Easter 2026, everyone.
I am already so sad that this season has to end soon. And I love how the show seems to be really leaning in to the “night shift is sexy” theme. Give the people what they want! (Sexy, tired doctors and nurses.)
Noted! I am totally fine with that, I just don’t love no romance at all. Thanks!
This week seems like an ok time to share that I do not use AI when editing and I am not interested in working with authors who use AI when writing. If you're looking for a freelance developmental or line editor, you can find me at stephaniedoigedits.com
(Is there a romance, I mean?)
Ok, can you report back re: the romance?
A pink bookshelf containing two copies of THE UNLIKELY PURSUIT OF MARY BENNET by Lindz McLeod. Shelf also shows two books by C.S. Pacat.
Spotted @lindzmcleod.bsky.social at the Hopeless Romantic pop-up shop at Union Station today!
I think we need to celebrate the death of Sora a bit more. This is a technology that, just MONTHS AGO, we were being told was going to literally destroy Hollywood and Disney was going to give them a BILLION DOLLARS and NONE OF THAT EVEN REMOTELY HAPPENED
It feels like I’ve gone back in time. Is this 2015?
There were just so many ways to write this that didn’t involve asking this woman if reading romance novels meant she was sad and desperate for a man. 🙄
Romance coverage has changed enough over the past few years that I was genuinely surprised to read this. The person who wrote this article despises this this assignment. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...
Obviously incorrect, obviously going to be late
Once again I thought maybe I could take the King streetcar to get somewhere
Let this be the pinprick of the bubble bursting.
“It’s inevitable” “you can’t roll it back” “you just have to accept it”
12 minutes
Ugh I’m gonna have to set a timer and do a “how long does it actually take” if I’m ever gonna do the dishes/tidy the kitchen. Some days, man.
I saw my husband at his desk with his head in his hands & I thought something was really wrong. I went over to ask him if he was OK & he said, “I’m fine. there’s just not enough time to read all the books I want to read.”
I didn’t used to be like this! But I definitely am now 🥴
Me looking at Google Maps: “ok, it says I need 20 minutes, which means I need 30 minutes, which means I should leave myself 45 minutes.”
At least I have figured this out about myself?
I just need spring to be here so I can stop moisturizing so aggressively.
Winter 2025/2026 is really doing the most re: heated blanket/hot water bottle usage
bottle of caesar dressing stabbed with a steak knife
No one loves a freshly made bed more than a dog who sort of needs a bath.
