Thank you for pointing this out. I've been amazed at some of the double standards in these comments. Folks are horrified that a foreign company might extract resources in the US, but I guess they don't realise that US companies have been doing this for 80 years all around the globe.

OK, I get the environmental and land-rights issues. But what does the fact that the company is "foreign" have to do with it? Don't US companies operate (including mining) in other countries?
