Why is it always ‚I would kill for my children!‘
and never ‚I would save the world for my children!‘

Why are bigots obsessed with doing bad stuff ‚for their children‘ but can‘t fathom to do any good? Rhetorical question.

Why does this mismatch exist?

Because autistic-adjacent people listen to other autistic-adjacent people instead of autistic people who know and understand what autistic people need for positive changes to autistic being.

The people focusing on the wrong things are listened to.

This mismatch means autistic people need different things addressed to have better lives than what non-autistics want to address.

The autistic community focuses on improving our autistic
being in this world.

The autism community focuses on changing our observable behaviors.

I think the biggest mismatch between the autistic community and the autism community is that

for autistic people, autism is a multi-faceted inner experience affecting all areas of life

while for non-autistics, autism is autistic people’s behavior they can observe.
