Lovely footage of the first bear born in Aragon in more than 50 years, shortly after emerging from hibernation. Part of the slow recovery of brown bears in the Pyrenees. Via Aragón TV.
8 years ago, I told a story which changed my life forever. Shortly after, an old pal from college asked if he could turn it into a film.
So I am DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE that 'Me, Myself & Mary' is not only finished, but has been chosen to lead the Tribeca Festival's animated shorts roster this year.
Our dark sky bat-and-moth-friendly lighting launch made the RTE! We're so damn proud of what we achieved, and all with the full help and support of Tipperary County Council, God love 'em! #speirgorm #greensky #cloughjordan #darksky
Look at that! We transformed a muddy path that turns into a stream every winter into a gorgeous, magical walkway. I love this path, and I love walking it at night in winter with those little lights on, in any weather, it's enchanting. #speirgorm #greensky #darksky
Let’s keep the birthday howls going for Nikai 🐺🎉
This charismatic and playful wolf is celebrating his 12th birthday today, and we couldn’t be more excited!

As Trump prepares to blockade the Strait of Hormuz, it’s worth knowing a staggering stat about the gas that comes through there:
If all LNG coming down the Strait in 2025 had been used for electricity, it would have been less that what was generated by solar power newly INSTALLED that year

The Al-Furqan neighbourhood in Aleppo, Syria
Syria hasn’t had more than 4 hours of state electricity a day for years, due to civil war and international sanctions.
In response people have embraced a reliable electricity source - solar power and batteries!
I found myself recalling the Aberfan disaster, where a collapsing slag heap buried a school, killing 116 children and 28 adults. In a matter of moments, a village lost most of its children in one accident.
And the US is causing this kind of destruction deliberately.

Just back and happy to say the weather held. Thanks to all the organisers.
We gave away 1000 bags of mini apple crisps, and 1500 apples. Busy day.
It wouldn't be St. Patrick's Day if I could not make it to the Cahir parade.
Absolutely incredible performance by our Pipe Band and our colleagues visiting from the the US today in our Headquarters.
Pop along and see the bands performing in the #StPatricksDay parade in Dublin City tomorrow.
It will be the biggest group to ever perform with us.
"Rachel Corrie was 23 years old. She traveled to Gaza believing that international solidarity meant being with those who suffer injustice.
She died on March 16, 2003 in Rafah, crushed by an Israeli military excavator while trying to prevent the demolition of a Palestinian house."
Equilux meaning equal light is the day when daylight and darkness are closest to being exactly 12 hours each
This year, the Vernal Equilux occurs on the 17th March for UK locations roughly south of Norwich, and on the 18th March for locations generally north of Norwich.
The My Lai Massacre in Vietnam is a United States war crime committed on 16 March 1968.
It was a mass killing of as many as 500 unarmed Vietnamese villagers by U.S. soldiers during the American War.
The world is a load of shit, so today I will not be reading the news.
Instead, I will be listening to this song by Damien Dempsey and thinking about how we, the broken people of a broken world, can put it all back together.

Halfway to rent and our rent is due TOMORROW! Jittery time lapse representing the state of my mind.
€1000 over two days is highly unlikely but very sale saves us from accumulating more debt!
Best of luck Guy. Go you!
In the age of LLMs, deciding to write more strongly in my own voice feels both liberating and like an act of resistance. I've decided I don't care if Reviewer 2 inevitably hates the style, I'm going to write for me.

The cover of The Complete Persepolis by Marianne Satrapi.
Now would be a good time for anyone who wants to learn about recent Iranian history to read this. It is well worth your time and money (I am sure your local library has it if you don’t want to purchase it).
Ha,, just looked at the trailer.
Columbo and The Wonder Years.
What's not to like!
Thanks.
