The thing that really gets me about the situation with Rumeysa Ozturk is if her visa was really cancelled, they could have just told her and she would have either reapplied or left. She’d have time to pack and move and say goodbye. It would be upsetting but not traumatic.

Companies moving away from DEI will be so much worse for it.

-No more shoving the few women and POC to the front of company photos to make it look like diversity is a priority

-No more exciting stats from the People Team like “We’re up to 10% women company-wide, a 50% increase YoY!”
