i like how fantasy card games are like this
A four panel comic: Panel 1: A wizard looking at a frog with a human hand in his back saying "We shall see what the anti-grafting peasants think of this!" Panel 2: The frog says "Aren't you the wizard that cooled his orb in a moonwell?" Panel 3: The wizard, rubbing his eyes in frustration, makes the frog vanish Panel 4: The wizard in a chair, poking an orb with the text "BARRICADED" over and over again.
Here's my original character Waffles the Wizard.
He was hired by the king to maintain the ley lines that used to work great.
one of my favorite pieces of trans art is 'you make me sick', described in the second image. i saw this post in 2015 and it has always stayed in the back of my mind. i guess it may seem a little outlandish but i have always found it to be poignant

A live action “Delicious in Dungeon” movie is in the works.
PeanutButterGamer is developing the film.
the beatles having a song called "mean mr. mustard" is a joke id make about the Beatles
If IGN ever fully goes down for whatever reason reactionary Reddit guys are going to lose a load bearing thing to complain about when it comes to review scores. Like they’re gonna have to start bitching about websites called Controlerz (Poland) or TheGameAcquaintance.
When you're running 30 year old Linux distros
i've seen "it would really stick it to the devs if we left bsky" posts & no it wouldn't. they want this web site to be boring crypto idiots who cool their phones off in pools chatting with AI reply bots. instead they have to put up with us and that's deeply funny
this is one of my “good thing is bad actually” opinions but I feel like being a hardcore gamer/liking a game too much actually ruins games most of the time
this is something we all see when it isn’t us doing it
binging content day 1, “game sucks (1001 hours played)”, optimizing the fun out, etc
Miyamoto complaining about movie critics is funny. Its funny that the man himself has the same brainrot the fans do where they just don't understand the concept of critics they cannot bully into submission with fandom inertia lol
Sure, feel free to pull out a dictionary, you aren't gonna change the fact that Splatoon's city hub has a similar vibe to Sonic Adventure's city hub which has a similar vibe to Crazy Taxi which has a similar vibe to Jet Set Radio
I'd say all 3 look similar to Splatoon
Like, Yakuza is a game where you buy health potions at the grocery store and Splatoon is a game with a grocery store shooter arena. They share this aesthetic idea.
You said you don't associate the fantastical happening in the real with Sega games, I named some relevant and popular Sega games where that is a major theme, which is why I felt kind of defensive at the response "no I meant like virtua tennis"
In terms of having a real conversation it's kind of a bummer to be like "no these games you have played don't represent the company as much as these ones you haven't so I win"
Sorry for thinking Sonic Adventure may have had a little more bearing on their reputation than Virtua Cop
I mean this with complete sincerity and without a negative bone in my body but the special sauce of splatoon is what sega used to have and I hope they find it again someday
Sonic the hedgehog looking over at a statue of a man on the sidewalk. This burger man statue is a parody of real life Col Sanders statues outside Japanese K F C locations
I'd say I'd associate that theme with Sega.
The Yakuza games, Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio, and Sonic Adventure all start from the idea "what if crazy videogame shit happened in a real(ish) city?"
Choosing to be cool about trans women instead of not cool about trans woman would be genuinely counter-culture in a way that completely justifies the self hyping attitude and the skateboard aesthetic
Does all the controversy around RGG studio and Yakuza 3 count as something about Sega?
My latest newsletter: Cory Booker went to Michigan and told the voters who sat out 2024 that the problem was them. I don’t think this is good strategy. www.readtpa.com/p/the-scolding
The implicit media consensus is that urban voters should not be able to overrule rural voters, but that rural voters should be able to overrule urban voters, an assumption so axiomatic and unquestionable that nobody even understands they're making it.
god she was so cool
lmao typo because I was Tired and In Pain then. Still have big expenses coming up and I'm almost out of food ;m;
I'm sure he didn't mean anything by it though
I couldn't help myself
