I am so beyond-sick of everything being a "journey." It's nearly always used in reference to a trip anyone would dread: cancer, divorce, death. It's enough to make me want to avoid any business that uses it, even well-meaning ones like this.

So Democrats should follow the current regime's policies of retribution and persecution of those who disagree with them?
US Rep. Jamie Raskin, ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, has proposed a bill that would create a bipartisan group with the power to enact the 25th Amendment to remove a president if the VP or cabinet failed to do so when warranted.

ProPublica, a nonprofit organization, does consistently good investigation and reports. Worth following their posts here:

At this point, given that it would be mostly the anti-vaccine people and offspring who would die, it sounds like a good outcome. Willful ignorance is killing our civilization.

18-year-old says he never reads anything except TikTok, Facebook Marketplace, and, occasionally, the Bible.
A neighbor w/ gov't pro job says she watched a 20-minute summary of "Project Hail Mary" so "I've seen it" and doesn't need to see the movie nor read the book.
Willful ignorance is a scourge.
I once made a similar offer on CompuServe (eons ago) when I lived in Santa Cruz, and people from Japan took me up on the offer. I couldn't meet with them at the time, but the city's Sister City program volunteers were great and showed them around.
Wow!

That finch looks like he's dressed up to go to a Hollywood awards event and saunter down the red carpet.
Today's trivia:
Today is the 251st anniversary of Paul Revere's midnight ride to warn the Minutemen of approaching British troops.
I want to take a moment to share an excerpt from the Declaration of Independence's grievances against King George III.
Remind you of anyone?
These are suggestions for what to include in your obituary (I don't recall source). They're also good for considering how you are LIVING.
How did you make a difference?
How did you influence others?
What were you known for?
What was the credo you lived by?
What were your priorities in life?
With news of the new "Grazing Action Plan" created by the USDA to help the cattle industry, we wanted to remind everyone that wolves are not the problem. Wolves have killed 0.002% of cattle, yet hundreds of wolves were killed by government programs.

The United Kingdom has transferred 752 million pounds (about 1 billion dollars) in frozen Russian assets to Ukraine, Ukraine's Finance Ministry said April 15.
Patty Murray has been working hard and doing the right thing when others in the US Congress were doing no more than ranting on social media. If that.
I'm glad she's one of my senators. Thank you, senator @murray.senate.gov.

But people voted to ELECT each them. So, all who did are complicit.
It's International Dark Sky Week. Consider keeping your garden dark at night: artificial outdoor lighting negatively affects insects, birds, bats, and other small mammals, and it can even make your garden plants less productive. Some easy suggestions for your "moon garden": wapo.st/4tIrNpW (gift).
it is honestly remarkable how the average Senator is, I would argue, about 10 percent worse than if you literally selected them by lottery.
Just like MAGA voters in the USA.
