I've been meeting and talking with so many cool games people at (and around) gdc. I love games
This one is a good egg!
Oeuf /uːf/: a 3D precision-platformer where you are an egg. Go on an adventure, play with friends, have fun in the level editor! store.steampowered.com/app/3831080/... #OeufGame OUT NOW

It's fully functional for world gen v2 asset node files, download here: github.com/Cammymoop/ca...
Open source and made with Godot 4.6, windows, mac, and linux
I've been making a custom node editor for Hytale's customizable world gen v2 system. I just added this visual curve editor that lives in the node itself!
If you ever had double clicking consitently in Aseprite on linux that should be fixed now 👀
Cardinal Splines are super handy for setting up smooth curves quickly without having to do a lot of manual tweaking, but they tend to have trouble with certain configurations of control points
I think I fixed that though 👀 (middle is mine) #gamedev
There, that's a little smoother
Making some path meshes with some splines #gamedev
Girl with a Pearl Earring
some #textmode experimenting
turned out pretty cool

Ooh, very nice
@increpare.bsky.social I don't know why I just remembered this game but I finally went back and beat Gestalt OS :D
and I did have a good time, yeah
About 4 hours left!
The steam autumn sale just started. Also the first sale since launch for Stick and Stack!
If you haven't checked it out yet, now's the time! store.steampowered.com/app/3655080/...
correction: it's not actually broken for games with no review split. My confusion was bc this specific game has almost the same number of *total* english reviews as *steam purchased only* reviews in all languages
(and the fact that it was filtering differently without telling)
Which made it look like it was using the number of language-specific reviews instead of the global total, but on games without enough reviews to split it is using the total *But also excluding non-steam purchases*
The number of reviews in my language (at the bottom in the review section) was almost the same as the total number of global reviews listed at the top (which unlike the bottom section excludes reviews from non-steam purchasers)
Ok, I think I'm actually wrong about the problem, I think the discrepency in Uurnog Uurnlimited reviews is because almost all the reviews outside of English were not counted because they weren't bought on steam.
Checking with some other games it's just confusing not broken
Oh god, it's even more broken, this is really bad.
The setting to disable this APPARENTLY ONLY WORKS ON GAMES THAT HAVE SPLIT SCORES
So if you turn it off it's even worse!
Oh no it's even worse than I thought, this is probably a bug/oversight but for these low review games where it *hasn't* made a language specific review ratio score, it's basically just lying about the total number of reviews (119) until you scroll to reviews and remove the filter
It's not only for games with lots of reviews either, this game has about 120 total reviews but now with only showing my language it shows 71
Steam showing a language-specific review ratio is something I don't have strong opinions about, but I wish they would bring back the global review count to the top of the page.
People got used to rough estimates based on that, now the number means something else but looks the same
Hey everyone! The Kickstarter did not reach its funding goal, which is a bummer. I want to thank everyone who did support the campaign though, as it was great to see everyone get excited about Flightless Fables. I think there's demand for this type of game, and the Kickstarter is proof of that with 400 backers! So what's happening with FF? The game will release eventually, but... since the Kickstarter was unsuccessful, I may experiment with the game a bit. The Kickstarter promised certain features and gameplay ideas, but it may be good to rethink the design and land on a game that's smaller in scope but hopefully more unique. FF will still be a platformer about birds crawling dungeons, but it won't be the only game I'm working on either. There are already some ideas I want to pursue in addition to FF. Game development is really hard, but this is where I want to be, and I'm willing to work through the setbacks and failures! Thanks to all the FF backers and my followers who are interested in what I make! I'll be taking a break from dev in September, but then I'll return with renewed energy to make games! -Joe
Thanks for adventuring with me during the Kickstarter campaign! 🐦
