So an ex-friend doxed me on @discord.com by sending multiple people my real life name. I have a strong fear that they could send people my real address. I made a ticket about this, and discord support just closed it with a copy-and-paste answer.

This Trans Day of Remembrance, we remember and honor our trans siblings who’ve lost their lives to anti-trans violence.
Let’s recommit to fighting systemic oppression, while we also recommit to cultivating our resilience.

I like the term dark triad. It's a good way to describe certain types of people.

These people, they use you purely to gain power, they lie to you in every word, they try to get you into relationships to get things from you. They try to claw you from your friends, just so they can occupy your time.

In life, you sometimes find that there are people that you need to avoid. I've been introduced to the phrase "emotional vampire" which is quite a succinct way of putting it.

I recently had to remove one of these people from my life. I don't regret it.

Life is too short to deal with these people.

Rather, it’s a lesson in protecting organizations from their own largest contributors, ironically. By trying to be kind, and taking on too many tasks, you will cause delays, and can bottleneck an organizations expansion. An organization where tasks are balanced is more capable than one that isn’t.

This isn’t to say that an organization must follow an inherently hierarchal structure, where there are “bosses”, but it does mean that people, especially those with high involvement, need to make sure that others can pick up work rather than hoarding responsibilities in a project.

When volunteering for an organization, the most important aspect to it is understanding your limits, and allowing those around you to help you. Projects, when they reach scale, become more and more of a game of delegating tasks and resources rather than the tasks themselves.

49 people that would be forever missed.
More than 50 wounded.
Almost 10 years since the Pulse tragedy.
We remember, we will never forget.

So, this is where I remind everyone that it's important to think critically about why somebody might be posting a topic. Take a peek at profiles, and see if that reveals a suspicious pattern.

Is this user spending an unnatural amount of time promoting a specific form of rhetoric?

In my local subreddits, I'm seeing a large increase in bot activity literally ever since the election was called. This campaign is a lot more sophisticated compared with what I've seen before. They talk & act like locals, but their posting behavior is way too fast to be authentic (>100 posts/day).

Hungary's new anti-LGBTQ+ law bans Pride events and sparks protests The law, supported by Orbán’s Fidesz party and their minority coalition partner the Christian Democrats, was pushed through parliament in an accelerated procedure after being submitted only a day earl...

Once surveillance infrastructure is in place, it is subject to changing priorities and prejudices. Hungary threatening to use face recognition to find people at pride events shows why we need to ban government use altogether.

A trans refugee's court case against Hungary just improved Trans+ rights across all of Europe A landmark case at the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) on Thursday set a significant precedence for Trans+ rights across Europe.

LOL wow a dude just argued in the EU courts that misgendering is a GDPR violation and he *won*.

Legacy media is dying. They have no editorial independence anymore, they are beholden to billionaires who are buying out all the outlets and controlling me message.

Support independent journalists, y'all. We're out here doing the work and breaking the news.

2015 is the year the old internet finally died The old blogosphere is being eaten alive by the rise of social media and the mobile web.

Vox really managed to predict the future of the internet here, with what was the incoming modern media becoming the outgoing legacy media, resulting in our media landscape becoming a clickbait hellscape without voice and identity.
