there is still heaps of room to improve. it will be sad if this innovation does not happen due to the industry choosing to pursue ai filters instead

the thing is that realism in real time rendering doesnt come from just large textures, it comes from r&d on finding new and efficient ways to approximate visual phenomena that appear in the real world. things like ambient occlusion and even the way materials are displayed came from that talent

the only drawback is that it doesnt support ipads sadly (i think its copyleft license is incompatible with apple's walled garden)
