Solway sunset. English side.
I always loved this poem - just a few lines here
[in Just-Spring] By E. E. Cummings
in Just-
spring when the world is mud-
luscious the little
lame balloonman
whistles far and wee
and eddieandbill come
running from marbles and
piracies and it's
spring
Now available as an audiobook on Amazon and Audible. I'd love to hear opinions. www.amazon.com/dp/B0DGMHBHVH

How terrifying it is to live where wrong is declared right, where evil is lauded as virtue, where oppression is the right of the powerful, where profit trumps morality. And all by dictat of the super-rich simply because they want to, and have been empowered to do so by fools.
Rant over.
I've always had mixed views about zoos but Blackpool Zoo, UK, really does seem to house some happy and photogenic animals.
My YA novel was a finalist in the Book Excellence Awards 2024. But never mind that, look at this photo of my lovely springer spaniels, Millie and Ziggy.
Small town journalist, Phil Tyler, isn't a tough guy. He wants a simple homely life. But he's driven by a strong sense of fairness and justice and he's stubborn. Trouble follows him. Tension, intrigue, drama and laugh-out-loud English humour.
Worth a try?

Sometimes all you need is silence, solitude, and dogs for company. Then it's back home to work on that difficult chapter.
Fifty mile cycle today from my home in SW Scotland. Sunny but cold. Quiet roads into the moorland. I took the dogs out when I got back. My legs felt like rubber.
Just heard my YA novel "Maa-Ghut" was a finalist in the Book Excellence Awards. Got to say I'm feeling kinda pleased about that. It's a thought-provoking novel with a good cast of characters and a fair amount of suspense, tension and humour.

My editor, with thirty years experience, said this novel made her cry -TWICE! (in a good way!) It was one of the nicest compliments I've ever received. www.amazon.com/Dark-Skies-F...
