I did the flats first on these, which kinda lets me be a little looser with the lineart in a really fun way! I wasn't thinking about it at the time, but I feel like it lets me chase a bit of Austin Briggs' energy:

BIRDSONA TIME !!! GWAH 🪶🪶🪶

Meet Oakmoss, AKA Moss !! 🌿

A digital Critical Role Comic. The first panel shows a sparsely decorated room. Essek and Caleb are at a plain table. The drow explains a spell while Caleb writes. "Ah yes, this one..." Essek says. "I had a feeling it may be somewhat familiar to you." "I recognize this pattern," replies Caleb. "This is the magic inherent to the Beacon?" "One of them. It does require a pearl as part of the components." "To offset the energy requirement?" Caleb inquires, fingers searching over the lines of notes. "Not quite. It's a stabilizer, in fact. Though you may not have enough ink to make note of that." A panel shows an empty ink pot nearby. "Ah, I have more." Caleb is seem standing up and walking behind Essek. "Just a moment please."

Caleb kneels beside a drawer, searching for something while Essek reads quietly in the background. After a momentary pause, the man mutters "gestern hier reingepackt..." and then looks up in realization. "Scheisse." He stands up again and strides past the desk, saying to Essek "Excuse me, I'll be back in a moment." As the drow quietly looks on, Caleb exits the study, calling out "JESTER!" From the second floor, a speech bubble hollers back "WhaAaAAaht?"

Essek sits at the desk quietly for another panel, but then his eyes slide over to Caleb's work. He casually reaches over and flicks one page up, looking at the spells. As soon as he does, though, a soft 'mrrt' gets his attention. When the drow looks back up, he is face to face with a cat, both of them looking startled.
