hi guys I know I haven't been very active lately, and I don't talk about where I'm from often, but the government made some really scary announcements today so I thought I'd share to let everyone know what's happening. here are some posts from twt for context
Kahleah Copper took her Unrivaled teammates on a walk to 32nd and Berks, where a backboard is still attached to a light pole.
She wanted to show them where her basketball journey began. And why she got emotional when talking about those who helped her get here.

I can't take him but i NEED someone to give this perfect baby a home: www.animalhumanesociety.org/animal/adopt... He's at the Golden Valley location, so #TwinCities locals should consider giving him a home! #cats #adoptableanimals #humanesociety
He's now on a urinary diet, which should reduce or eliminate that problem in a new home. He likes to get attention with his paws but is SO GENTLE and keeps his claws retracted (unlike my girls who dig them in... with love).
I had my hand there with him using it as a pillow and purring for ten straight minutes. He doesn't always come to the front of his cage right away, but once you sweet talk him he's all about it. He's 9 years old and was relinquished because he had a few accidents.

Nelson is a perfect precious man who just wants someone to cuddle with. He's been waiting for his new home for a few months, but hasn't had any luck. (Likely because he needs a home without dogs or small kids). He's so gentle and loving. If you're in the Twin Cities area please consider adopting.

Getting a lot of messages. A lot are like "Can I come help?" (appreciated, but unless you know the area very well, probably not THAT useful) or "Can I send money?" (not to me, please).
But the best ones are like "I want to build what you guys have back in my home city." YES, DO THAT. DO IT NOW.
This is like paying the guys that robbed your house to also burn it down.
Jesus Christ.

nail trimming is absolutely one of the hardest things and it can be easy to ruin trust just trying.
honestly my solution for that has often been just to make a nail-trim appointment at the vet, because catching the cat and getting her over there causes her less stress than me trying to trim.

Now I want a Team Cheryl shirt with "F-ing Malpractice" on the back

Ashanty is my student, and this is her first-ever professional assignment! She’s a ridiculously smart thinker and writer — read her on AI in school instead of all the adults pontificating. 🤗
