Yesterday's adventure yielded lifer Horned Larks + a Lincoln Sparrow, first time seeing breeding plumage Horned Grebe, best views yet at Tundra Swans and Pied-billed Grebes! Plz accept this fluffy butt offering (god I love them, usually they're diving non-stop so I can't get a pic!)

Oooh I've never seen or heard one of those guys before. I think I'm a tad too far north for em. Poor Chuck 😆

A bunch of doodles of a Great Horned Owl mama and pair of Great Blue Herons I'm monitoring. One is a very silly doodle of the owl knitting on her nest while the herons are lovey dovey. Also featured, vulture me in a giant sweater.

An embroidery piece. It's religious iconography of an anthropomorphic turkey vulture with a staff that has a heart in the head of it. The piece looks like stained glass.

Threw a couple more stitches in this today. I'll be surprised if I finish it in my lifetime, but I'm happy with how it's coming out for such an overly ambitious embroidery project.

This week has been BRUTAL but today my little alien kitty from @littleguys3d.bsky.social came and my heart cannot handle the CUTENESS!!!! 😭😭😭♥️ That precious face, the magnet hands, the teenie tiny alien kitties??? WHAT
The lil ones were an extra surprise to me. Obvs the black one is Opal ♥️

The nose of my blue kayak is in the foreground. The Delaware River is high but mellow. Bare trees line both shores and a light fog blurs the scenery. Mr. Wolverine paddles ahead of me.

First paddle of the season!! Shot for a sunrise paddle, but got a nice foggy morning instead. Tons of mergansers, wood ducks, mallards, kingfishers, turkeys, blackbirds, robins, and song sparrows out. I'm so excited, river season!!!

4 needle-felted raptors in flight (Goshawk, Broad-winged Hawk, Red-shouldered Hawk, and Osprey) and 1 pair of American Kestrels at a nest box. They're all hanging on my studio closet doors.

I'm currently tidying up and packing my Hawk Mountain brigade... And I'm getting kinda sad about it! Dropping off Saturday, the show opens end of this month. I'm gonna miss these guys actually 😭♥️
