Looking at it in the morning sun, it’s hideous, misshapen, and lumpy inside where the bottom partially collapsed over the thin material right above the foot ring. I hate this unkillable bowl. But it will live forever, despite my displeasure.

One of my bowls warped severely in the glaze fire, I threw it way too thin. womp womp. So, as with anything that displeases me, when I got home I threw it up in air as high as I could.

It bounced once, twice, then came to a rest without so much as a scratch.

This uggo is my new favorite bowl.

A frame from Godzilla vs Mothra (1992).
A business man in a suit with big business glasses and a business moustache is inside a hotel room, or possibly an office. We can see an out-of-focus aquarium in the background. He's looking down, despondent.
The caption reads, "Why should I suffer more than anyone else? It's not fair!"

Not pictured: Godzilla; Mothra; a man who has suffered, at all

Oh, phew. Autocorrect changed it to Rowan after I tapped reply. Not this time, apple.

Is that dark spot on the building Wolfman? Is Wolfman climbing the building while Godzilla stands blurrily nearby? Yes. That is how I will interpret it.

They were remixing the glaze I wanted to use at pottery last night. I have so much bisque sitting on the shelves! How can a studio be out of silica? SMH

I’m struggling, but I think I’ve made sense of it.

A frame from Ebirah, Horror of the Deep (1966).
5 men standing outside amongst some rocks. They are all looking to the left, squinting into the sun.
The caption reads, "Damn it. Mothra is our only hope now."

I hope they aren’t trying to make Cait into a Tiny Women analogue. She is NOT tiny enough, there’s only one of her, and she’s not singing to Mothra!

I will not delete the double despite sentence and repost, but I am aware and ashamed.

It’s 90s edgelord stuff so be prepared for some of that. But despite everything, there’s still a throughline of hope in everything, in people, despite all the post-cyberpunk bad shit.

I’m not good at remembering favorites when asked. Or remembering much at all. But I just reread Transmetropolitan and I really loved it. The background art, the world building, that vision of the future. Everything around the main story and characters.
