Hater here too but also agree he’d be better than Collins (lowest of bars). But his damage to the party could be significant. I don’t trust any of these “antiestablishment” populists to do more than continue building their brand by bashing the Dem party and obstructing good but imperfect policy.

Being anti-establishment (a very pliable term) is extremely popular right now. I think it’s the result of an overly simplistic view of how we got here and what it will take to return to some kind of normal.
I see what Jeffries is doing here, but it's also very telling that in response to Jeffries calling out the Republican majority for confirming these noms, just about every vote passing the 50 mark if you count just the GOP votes, nearly all the replies demand smoke only for the handful of Dem votes

Like so many needed improvements, we must first gain and retain way more political power. Then we can really improve the party. Right now it’s war for our survival. No time for nitpicking.
My only problem with this is the same people who use “get money out of politics” to constantly bash Dems are defending Bernie’s support of Steyer by correctly pointing out that a hardline ban on big money, applied only to Dems, just disempowers the party and puts them at a huge disadvantage.
