A new smartphone game has been announced! It will launch on Sep 25.
The game is a spin-off of the Fire Emblem series and include "a new style of battles featuring role-playing and social deduction".
It will be a free to start (F2P) game.

You can compare this to the Xbox One situation but I think Doug Bowser absolutely remembers that when he tried to spin his words about it. At least it's a way nicer way to put it (though at least Switch 2 doesn't force bullshit on anybody aside from price)
Booted into a ubuntu USB stick to root a couple of Fire tablets and install LineageOS. Do not recommend!
I mean, rooting and lineage are both fine, but I had a bitlocker scare when coming back since ubuntu required secure boot to be disabled. Then I had to reset my pin, and my clock was all wonky.
Basically confirmation that Switch 1 games will run better on Switch 2 by default, they'll just be beholden to preset limitations like FPS caps, etc. Same deal as PS4 games on PS5.
Nintendo Switch 2 Director Takuhiro Dohta told GameSpot some games may see certain improvements running on Switch 2 "such as faster load times, maybe improved frame rate." but it will "depend on how that game was built,"

Nintendo of Canada is delaying pre-orders "to align with the timing of pre-orders to be determined in the US".
Pre-orders in the US were delayed due to the administration's recent announcement of tariffs on countries where Nintendo manufactures their hardware.

Satellaview data conservation is fascinating, there's a ton of lost Nintendo media (actual games and levels!) still potentially on cartridges in shops and homes, and you don't know until you dump them. These lost F-Zero tracks were recovered after a $2,500 bounty was set (and yes they got paid!).
