Total Democratic Turnout for the district: 65,762 (29%)
Essex County: 33,302 (29%)
Morris County: 26,905 (29%)
Passaic County: 5,555 (28%)

Let's do a hypothetical scenario where we subtract the republican votes from the ballots cast and compared them to the numbers for registered Democrats. Again, hypothetical, the numbers maybe off. But this might be helpful to see how many Democrats turned out in the primary.

A couple of caveats:
1. This is largely a Democratic primary because Republican Joe Hathaway was unopposed.
2. In New Jersey, you can declare a party to vote in the primary election when you cast a ballot.

At the moment, Essex County had the highest turnout in the district, with 15% voter turnout. Morris County, where Tom Malinowski currently leads, had the second highest voter turnout with 13%. Passaic County, where Analilia Mejia is close to taking the lead, 10% of the vote turned out.

Let's do the numbers...on the 11th Congressional District. Based on stats from the state and the unofficial periodic reporting as of today, 79,259 ballots were cast. That translates to turnout of about 13% of the 600,733 registered voters in the district. #NewJersey #KennyDoesTheNumbers
