My first few functions where with the help with tutorials and AI. The newer functions I just thought in my head and went for it since I already knew what code worked for whichever I needed. Realized I can do anything if I can code it right

Man it feels really good to be able to implement your own mechanics and functions without having to look up tutorials or get help from AI.

For me, gamedev is a therapy after a long day of work

Yeah when we get to animations we’ll probably do a shift. Some games even just have the character face south just for interacting with objects even if the object is north. I might do transparency for the character when interacting

I was thinking of doing a cozy pixel art asset pack / side project until I stumbled onto a situation… if I want to interact with the stove, I can’t see much because the character blocks the view of the sprite. Any advice?

Got controller support and then pause menu to slightly work… It is insane that inputs are still registered when timescale = 0. We can’t get everything to just stop in Unity when paused? Man programming is tough

Added some pixel art VFX to my game. I didn’t know you had to literally code EVERYTHING in gamedev. Even small stuff like this needs its own code.
