One more note on the E Line, it should eventually extend to Raymond Ave because there isn't really any good north south routes that it connects to east of Central. The 30 exists going north, but because it curves off towards N Mpls, it's not as useful as the 87, and doesn't go south.
I've definitely been backed up for a long time on 4th street before, but agree that its usually not as bad as University

Not using a headway-based management instead of trying to adhere to a timetable.
No bus lanes on University/4th despite their being 3 car lanes in sections.
Every year, it becomes safer, more comfortable, and more accessible to walk, bicycle, or take transit in Minneapolis.
At the margin, this means enormous savings for some households—savings that largely recirculate in our local economy, rather than going to out-of-state car makers or oil companies.
For the past few years, AAA's has estimated that the average new car will cost its owner roughly $1k/mo, or $12k/yr.
The single most impactful way for most American households to cut their spending would be to reduce the # of cars they own by one.
But the built environment needs to be amenable.

These concepts would have the trains run over the skyways, and use them as mezzanines
That is definitely a problem, and LRT is the reason why ridership is down. But I'm also concerned that there was only a 0.3% increase in bus ridership in a year we opened 3 new BRT lines.
We are so lucky to have Georgia Fort!
Wow, Minneapolis and St Paul mayor's serving major blows to their constituents today.
My axe to grind but a fail to the people who were assaulted on Rose Ave by ICE and SPPD last Nov.
The same mayor who told the police chief not to come to a community forum that was attended by every city councilmember about this event. (Besides one who was on maternity leave, and provided a statement)

You would be freaked out if you saw 25% of drivers drinking a beer, right?
Using a phone is no different.
Ride in a bike lane and glance into every car that you pass and you'll see an extremely high percentage of people staring at their phones. It's terrible and frightening

If he wants to leave, I'm fine with that if he returns all of the money from his crowdfunding to those who donated.
The United States, a country where we have historically underfunded infrastructure, but thats okay because we have some really nice stadiums, that you can only attend if you buy tickets that are way too expensive compared to peer nations.
That's not even getting into how we should have promotion and relegation so that relocationing, and robbing the local fans of their team is the only way to expand into new markets.
Which incentivizes blackmailing the government into bankrolling these megaprojects
Sports teams should be a non-profit that is collectively owned by supporters who elect a board of directors and one of the board members should be required to be a member of the local city council.
