The guys sounding great on Arbeiderssangen! We had some intense rehearsals this weekend and streamlined scene changes. Premiering on Friday!

Oops came home with a Helicon.

Hanging out with the Titans a bit this morning.
Things aren't normally this humid... this species prefers it dry. Once in a blue moon I give a light misting, then let that mostly dry off before closing house again. Otherwise they always have access to a humid corner for water.

Ugh!! Finally bothered to finish this lichen piece I started last summer. I had put it in a random cabinet and nearly forgot it existed. Now to attach it to the giant rock.
Fourth photo is the back.

Oh we got so sick of terrible landlords that left us with big mold problems (TWO different houses!) but in OK there was nothing we could do. For the first one, the bathtub apparently wasn't connected to anything - it just drained under the house. Couldn't even break our lease over that.
HAPPY PUPATION DAY!!! Guys I'm so unreasonably excited. Last week I accidentally broke the pupal chamber of my biggest grub. I've been so worried - made a damp paper towel cover for the chamber and check on him every few days. WELL TODAY HE'S A PUPA!! My heart is racing.

Are we sure these are vamps or is it just an accurate representation of Oklahoma summers? Though I guess those aren't mutually exclusive...
Right there with you. We were having nice springy weather until the only day I had to drag my tuba to work. It was snowing, sleeting, raining AND stupid windy. When did it stop? Not long after I was back inside a building. And yes it melted and we had 10C and sunny two days later.
Oh man I hadn't had any problems until I was working with some 4th graders and one asked how much time we had left. I looked at the clock and said, "oh, about 6 or 7 minutes". Instant regret. Their eyes got huge and they gasped before starting the "6/7!!!"
Just got back from another day of subbing. Usually I'm working alongside another teacher for the big groups, but today I got a call 10 minutes before start that the other teacher was sick so I'd be on my own. We managed it, and at the end of the day I found a student had left me a flower.

A perfect creature.
So I've reached a point in my life where I could make this as my thank you slide at the end of a talk and it makes total sense to everyone in the room.
The talk covered my soil mite extraction method I'm working on.

Dang that would have been fun! I think mine would have been the time we all piled into our biology teacher's pickup and he drove us to my house so we could explore and discuss things we found in my mom's expansive garden.
It's perfect.
Last week I helped Nord with a recruitment day for high schoolers. It was hosted at the Levanger campus so we had to pile all my guys and my stuff into a colleague's big van. It went super well, and one group even came back after lunch to look at the millipedes some more.

Omg the building matches Audino!!! I love it.
We've noticed it is incredibly hard to put down! Seriously might be our new favorite game...
This is way nicer than anything I have so far... but my Bellsprout has a leppa berry in a frame, too, so there's that. Combee randomly became my best bud and roomie and leaves me honey every day.
This is exactly what we try to describe to Norwegians. I knew before moving what a problem it is but boy is it a strange feeling to see the look on their faces... like I'm from Mars. And I'm still weirded out by cars actually paying attention to pedestrians (AND not getting aggressive to them!)
I went to Texas once for a cousin's wedding on a ranch. My mom explicitly forbade me to collect bugs. Did I collect bugs anyway? Absolutely. Even paid a 4-year-old a quarter for a plains lubber he was carrying around.
Cotton balls, mud, and extravagant party poppers.
Emergency Garlic Supply.
Yeah if I had a nickle for every time I said that to myself.... and believed those words in that moment. Absolutely no learning.
Something to look forward to next time?
Nothing a dramatic swish of the hair and small smirk to say "this was completely intentional" won't fix! Works for miscalculations of wall locations, too.
Blocking this piece of lichen today. This is from that first batch of dyed yarn I made a few weeks ago. It's supposed to be a bit of Lobaria buuuut.... I don't know. Close enough I guess. I just eyeballed everything this time.

Simandoa conserfariam enjoying some orange. They have been doing really well so I need to move them to a bigger box soon.
