Thanks Rob 👍.
I had to request similar to a dental nurse last yr. In return I got a waspish “it’s not Cooovid”.
The dentist looked at me while wearing his n95 & I swear if he could’ve, he’d have rolled his eyes at his nurses behaviour.
Strangely, I haven’t seen her at the practice since.
It’s not "normal" to pretend a disease doesn’t exist—or nothing can be done to reduce harm.
Leaving kids, communities, and ourselves exposed isn’t “moving on,” it’s neglect, coerced, morally repugnant, indifference.
If that upsets you, ask yourself: are you an arseolist?
By the way, I just checked and you can still get @flomask.bsky.social for 50% off! It's the same device, with European certification markings. It's the most comfortable respirator I've ever worn.

Covid is airborne
Please help protect patients & staff from airborne transmission.

Morning!
Did you know that catching COVID can often mean having to pause cancer treatment?

Researchers warn of severe long-term damage to the brain after Covid following new study
January study of essential workers (with blood samples before & after COVID infection) found those with long-term neurological symptoms had higher phosphorylated tau—a protein linked to early brain degeneration
Thanks Rob! This is me today
Elderly couple in the lobby of a cancer infusion center, both wearing high quality respirators.
I protected my late wife through 18 months of fighting stage 4 small cell lung cancer by wearing high quality respirators, and insisting that everyone who came into her room did so as well. The chemo had weakened her immune system.
@flomask.bsky.social for the win!
Scrub nurse kept walking in and out of theatre unmasked (as is everyone else here) coughing his lungs up.
I eventually couldn't stand it any more and asked him to put a mask on.
He'll be upset with me for the rest of the day.
#healthcare deteriorates every day
Be careful out there
Daughters bedroom air quality tonight vs a couple of nights ago. It's great to have her learning the benefit of fresh indoor air in improving sleep and reducing illness.

Perhaps the @dailymail.co.uk is full of arseolists....
I usually just deal with the underhanded comments like "I couldn't quite hear you with your mask" or "oh I didn't recognise you, probably cos of the mask". Probably being a tall male helps avoid the more nasty incidents.
Have you had to deal with an arseolist recently?
I had a NUM who kept turning the aircon off in operating theatre (after I turned it back on again) so patients and staff exposed to poor air quality.
Interested to hear your stories. #SaferAir #COVIDisNotOver #COVIDisAirborne
Screenshot of an India.com article. Headline: “Covid back in Delhi? More than 50% of households report coronavirus, fever-like symptoms – Survey.” Published April 15, 2026 by Joy Pillai. Subheading notes changing weather and poor air quality may be weakening immunity and increasing spread. Image shows a hospital room: a patient lying in a bed while a healthcare worker in protective gear provides care. A woman wearing a mask sits nearby, appearing worried. A monitor behind them displays a virus graphic.

I will always keep myself and my patients safe
A quick demo of climbing CO2 in a small indoor space and how opening a door to increase ventilation can make an area safer.
It vibrates on my wrist alerting me the air con had been turned off in operating theatre (which is bad) so I just turned it back on again so staff and patients not breathing one another's breath backwash.

California clinicians gather for Long COVID forum. Recent guides offer direction.
David Putrino outlined 10+ “drivers” of Long COVID—like viral persistence and mitochondrial issues—urging clinicians to treat the “drivers” not just symptoms, and manage each case individually due to its complexity.
Graph: time of day versus CO2 - Danger red over 1500ppm indicated with arrow with arrow saying ‘train trip’ around 9am. Otherwise safe ‘green’ 500 - 700 ppm when I was outside or with all windows open at an event
Ever wondered why I always wear a KN95 on the train? @airspotrob.bsky.social
