They feel entitled to political power everywhere. The fundamental belief of the GOP is that it is inherently illegitimate for Democrats to hold power.

Never forget that the first mid-decade redistricting was done by the Texas GOP in 2003, led by former exterminator Tom Delay.

We actually gave up quite a bit and the horrible offense is a result.

That’s where I disagree. We gave up our primary perimeter creator in the trade, as flawed as he was. That lack was glaring all season long and is still biting the team. Durant is not a playmaker for all of his greatness and Amen is not (and may never be) able to fill that role.

Moving the Jalen Green goalposts to ‘lol, he won’t do this versus OKC’ is pretty unwise when the Rockets will hopefully see the Thunder in R2. That same standard would need to apply to Houston’s guys and many people would not like that.

I don’t think the difference between Phoenix and GSW’s impact on OKC is significant enough to have any meaning in R2.
