Hate to be the pedant in the corner, but it’s “different from”…

I think you mean “story”

Stunning shot - make sure you claim the copyright: I’m afraid that’ll get nicked…

Some good changes, thank you!…. But I miss question of the day: my success rate was improving!

As USA is not a signatory to the International Criminal Court, what legal jeopardy is there? Who can prosecute them?

It used to be a frequent criticism of doctors that they had a “God” complex - superior, infallible and condescending.

And now? (Or at least the BMA?)

Beat me to it!

It’s worth following the links and reading NASA’s day by day plan for the astronauts. It’s fascinating.

@carlevecrime.bsky.social - so, no more frustrating ghosting?!

So, let’s get this right, regarding the 6 nations:

Scotland beat France, who beat Ireland, who beat England, who beat Wales, who beat Italy, who beat Scotland

Hi @callummason.bsky.social - your article states that someone has been waiting 703 days for a response. I wrote to NHS pensions asking for the comparison on 21 February 2023, which I make 1,113 days!

I raised this query back in Feb 2023. They said I would be prioritised as I retired through ill-health.

I chased a year ago and asked what happens if I die before they reach a decision - “oh, don’t worry, it will go to your estate”.

I’m still waiting.

Naive question I know, but where is the United Nations?

That’s it!!

On train so can’t watch them, or even see the screenshot - but simply the list of brands is enough to remind me of them all.

BUT! (This always happens doesn’t it?!) how could you not include Fox’s glacier mints? Nor the one whose strapline was “It’s frothy man!” (So good I can’t recall the brand!)

I don’t take instructions from those with fake names.

My career was spent providing the glue…and proud to deliver outputs where the consumer had no idea what I had delivered to give them what they needed.

Like any skill - it’s easy for those who know: it’s black magic otherwise.

Logistics is the glue….and glue shouldn’t be visible. But without it everything falls apart.

But only praise from someone who understands how difficult it would have been in the first place, surely (and thus, someone who understands logistics)?

If Joe Bloggs says well done then you’ve made too much of how hard you’ve worked, and probably added bells and whistles that weren’t necessary.

I know it’s what you’re saying, but that’s the whole point. The logistician’s proudest moment is *not* receiving any praise for something happening faultlessly - their pride comes from their knowledge that only they know how bloody hard it was!

Darn it - another person I’d seriously like to see and hear but comes no further south or west than Bristol….2 hours away for me; 4 hours from Penzance.

Come on Jay - some great places to speak (and eat) in Plymouth…. And you can even stay in our guest room at our pleasure!

Has Streeting actually achieved anything? Can’t see anything as Health Sec apart from deckchair moving in admin org’s. Performance is still many times worse than pre-Covid. Morale has tanked.
Only thing he seems to have a gift for is anonymous briefings and then denying them when challenged.

How much longer before Somerset and Dorset become Somersea and Dorsea?

Don’t be too hard on yourself - a big round zero for me!

Someone I know applied for a delivery job with Evri. She was told - use your own car, fuel & insurance….and we’ll pay you £60 to deliver 100 parcels. To get minimum wage that means a delivery every 2’57”.
Is that even possible?
If not, is it legal to pay that little?

I wasn’t aware our constitution enabled voters to choose the Prime Minister. I was under the impression that we elected Members of Parliament.

We live in a parliamentary democracy, not some sort of presidential system.

True…but the constitution means they’re (we’re) stuck with him for 3 (if he has it, 7) years.

Look what he’s “achieved” in just 1 year.

And, if I’m right, what happens if he goes is that only JD Vance can replace him…. Now that’s scary - cos that’s a version of Trump with synapses.

Only adult thing about him then…

But wait, isn’t the SoS meant to be our next PM? And yet he can’t design policy?

We’re talking about “Mad Nazi Hi Haw” and “Ironed Sardine” (or was it “Inane Disorder”?)

A former MP called Nadhim,
Was not made a peer like Nadine,
Feeling forlorn,
They signed up for Reform,
Hypocritical, predictable and obscene.
