so FYI: the AI writing “it’s not x, it’s y” thing isn’t a recent quirk. it’s a reflection of its model. it happens because the llms are eliminating and refining responses, literally cycling through dimensions of “it’s not this, it’s that” in order to find its response.

The NYPL Digital Collections API is being quietly sunsetted in August. The only announcement I can find is behind the dev login for API access. When I look for more info, all that's returned is articles from 2012-2016 announcing this leap forward in public info access. Anyone know anything?
