When we are talking about sustaining a music scene an option that involves not paying the artist is never going to be successful and I would rather the pittance of streaming to the nothing of piracy. One DIY fan taking away there streams isn’t going to hurt Spotify it will hurt the bands they stream

I’m not making a personal judgement on the act of piracy I’m saying be honest. You aren’t going to help artists by stealing from them and while this is a community that will outcast people for stealing some forms of art it’s apparently sticking it to the man to steal from small bands, I don’t see it
